The ominous black smoke didn’t creep closer to them, however, it made them petrified, incapable of stepping forth and lending a helping hand. Even Emilia, who was more experienced than girls and Chan Wu in Mana Control and Magic overall, could not resist the darkness’ aura. 

They could only motionlessly stand there and, more surprised than ever, witnessed how Bin was letting out soft growls as he clutched onto the black smoke. Alas, his attempts were in vain as the mass of darkness, which resembled very dense black smoke, was unaffected by his touch.
