Even after what Ron told him Nate still was not convinced by that at all, when Ron saw that he thought for a bit and decided that the shortest way to force to knowledge Jack was is to ask him and that what Ron did.

Nate said without any hesitation “you know what I am sure the trainer should be able to defeat his student so if you want my respect you have to defeat me” he said in a way that made Lucy, Faith, and Ron cringe at how corny it was.

After Nate said this, Jack ran toward him and Nate did not know how to react to it and just put his arm in front of his face to which he left his stomach exposed and it was where Jack hit him as hard as possible because he wanted to test him too.
