Chapter 5

Nate started to move and Faith saw that she thought that something might happen to him so she went to him to check up on him, then suddenly Nate opened his eyes when he saw her he suddenly tried to stand instead he hit his head with hers.

After his head stopped hurting he looked at Faith was about to say something but Faith did not let him speak instead she asked him “how did you find this place, this whole forest everything look alike so there is no way you did that on your own and how did you run away from that thing”

“I was fast enough to outrun that thing,” said Nate “also the tree were able to help me a lot to hide from it, as how did I find my way back here when I managed to run away from that thing, I tried to remember where is this place but I did not pay any attention to where I walk, and I was about to fall down a cliff then I heard a voice tell me to stop”

At first, Faith thought that he was lying but she did not think of any reason why he would do such a thing then she remembered her talk with Ron, so she asked him if he recognized the voice or did the voice tell him who they were.

Nate tried to remember then he said “the voice sound male but I am not sure, I do remember that I heard it before but not sure who that person was”

Nate looked genuine when he said that so Faith did not doubt what he just said and she asked “what else this voice told you”

“The voice told me that I need to be more careful with my surrounding also there are a lot of things that would kill me other than that thing and we need be on our guard even if we thought that we are alone,” said Nate then he snapped his fingers and said “oh right I forget to say that the voice told me that I need to stay away from dragon’s lair no matter what”

“Dragon,” said Faith while tilting her head confused about what he just said

Nate was shocked that she did not know about dragons so he said with a condescending tone “really you do not know what dragon is”

Faith was irritated by the way he asked her that so she calm herself by taking a few deep breaths then said “yeah I do not know what dragon is, so will you tell me or what”

Nate notices that she was not happy by the way he said that to her so he said “I am sorry I should not talk to you like this”

“Yeah I accept your apology,” said Faith while she was looked not happy by the way Nate treated her “so will you tell me about this dragon that you talked about”

“yes, it is like I giant lizard that some of them can fly and also breath fire and usually it came up in any novel or movie it would be one of the strongest beings, I guess that why the voice told me not get near that place”

“Ok,” said Faith “did you know where is that place, because it would be good knowing how to avoid such a thing”

“Yeah when the voice told me about such a thing exist I asked about its place and they told me it is far deep in the forest and we are far away from it so we do not need to worry about it”

“Wait a minute,” said Faith “if we won’t encounter it and it is far away from its lair why did that voice told you about such a thing”

“I understand why you are like this you think they told us that to mess with us but I don’t think that”

“Why is that” asked Faith

“Just think about it,” said Nate then he changed his position “you remember when we saw that thing flying above us, if we weren’t fast on our feet we wouldn’t be able to escape from it and the fact that we were in the forest but what would happen if we encounter something smarter than that we would be dead and that why I think they told us about the dragon”

It was kind of make sense but still, there was one thing that she didn’t like, and that is she didn’t know who was the person that talks with Nate so to be sure she asked once again if he can figure out who is that voice belongs to, Nate answer was still the same.

After that Nate asked her what she did after she got under the tree and if something happens with her while he was away, she told him about the conversation that she had with Ron while Nate was knocked out and told him that they might be able to meet the others.

Nate was surprised to why she referred to Lucy as the others and he asked her why she did that, she was about to say that there was another one named Khalid but she remembered that Ron told her not to say anything about him. She thought of an excuse as fast as possible then told him “well Ron is with her and from the look of it he would help us in what we going to do in this world”

“He would do that, I thought they wouldn’t do such a thing so they can be fair,” said Nate

“Well you see” said Faith then she tried to remember what Ron told her the reason as to why he was with them “there is a lot of things that didn’t like they wanted, one of them us being here, it suppose to be that all of us to be transferred to the village but because something we were send here while Lucy was send to safe place”
