"Darn it, why ask something so damn obvious, of course it's me."
Nothing bad had happened so far so Ryder did not see the need to panic just yet. Besides this world's Ryder seemed to have his life all set. He was not just handsome he was actually gorgeous, he was rich and was probably even royalty. Though the only strange things he had witnessed so far was getting attacked by that ripped guy in school and not having the memories of the previous owner.
Just then something hit him. "What..!? I see..."
In the book he had just tossed aside, there was mention of magic in it's contents. Apparently magic was very common in the world of Mageia. According to the book 70% of the planet's population acquired magical abilities while the other 30% did not.
"So that's what the glowing fists were all about", Ryder said in realization.
Picking the book up, he began to read the book to learn as much as possible. After a few hours he had completely gone through the contents of the book. This made Ryder laugh a bit as the book sized up to the entirety of his forearm.
This book was useful to a large extent as it told him a lot of things about this world, however it did not contain everything he needed. According to this book, magic had come to Mageia as a result of a spatial rift. The spatial rift occurred as a result of a large magic symbol engulfing the whole planet. This gave reason to believe that magic existed before it even happened. Multiple disasters and causalities where recorded at this moment but eventually everything returned to back to normal. Though before it did many different changes had already taken place on the planet.
New creatures had appeared, new elements were discovered and the planet had increased in size as well. Other major changes included the existence of magic in the world and creation of different races.
"This looks like something from a comic book series! Am I in some sort of comic book!?"
Some of the things Ryder saw in this book, he was already aware of them in Earth. Though some of them he couldn't quite recognize as they were never mentioned on Earth.
'It seems there are somethings I am unaware of as well.'
His original reason for going through this book was to find out why he was transmigrated into this body, in this world. Due to pure bad luck there was nothing about transmigration in this book, heck he wouldn't be surprised if they used it to make story books for children.
Looking at the bright side of things, he was grateful that he wasn't as ignorant as he was before. This book brought to light many things concerning his situation. It was quite possible that a spatial rift was responsible for bringing him to the world he was currently in.Based on everything he had read so far, he believed it was safe to say that these new creatures, races and elements were brought from a different dimension entirely. Though the question now was why would he be drawn to this world by a spatial rift now, especially when it occurred a thousand years ago.
"Strange", Ryder scratched his extremely smooth hair with his hand. "Wow, he's hair is incredibly soft."
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Three soft knocks sounded from his door. After a few seconds the door opened revealing Brenna who was currently in a stunning red robe. Ryder couldn't help but have a flood of curiosity wash through his body.
"I had a feeling that you were still awake", she said with a soft smile.
Ryder was surprised that she would expect something like this. The only explanation he had for this was that the previous Ryder probably stayed up late at night.
"I wanted to thank you for today", Brenna turned her face to the side as if being shy.
Not wanting to speak, Ryder indicated his surprise by widening his eyes a bit. He believed it would be of no harm to show his intrigue concerning what she had to say. Upon noticing his slight change in expression, she steadily walked towards him as she explained why.
"Oh, it should be really obvious why you know. This was the first time you ever spoke to me. I....I....really appreciate it."
'What!? This douchebag never spoke to her his entire life? What's wrong with him?' Ryder pondered within himself.
By the time he had finished thinking about this, she was right in front of him. Her rose like scent rushed over him, engulfing him with it's sheer enticing power. Her red colored lips were only a few inches away from him at this point causing him to wonder what the hell was going on. Ryder gulped in panic as he realized the situation he was in.
'Damn it! Is it an ambush!?'
"I believe it is time we share the bed like we always do, Master Ryder."
'It is an ambush!'
Brenna slowly began to remove her robe right in front of Ryder, however before she could complete her actions, he stopped her in her tracks. From what she had said not to long ago, this was something she usually did with the Ryder of this world. Though for some strange reason he believed this was out of obligation not because she wanted to.
"Master, is anything wrong? Do you not want me anymore?", Brenna asked in a adorable voice that shook him to the core.
"No, that isn't it. I don't want you to have some kind of obligation to do this. I want you to actually want me", Ryder explained as he gradually recovered from the assault.
Brenna gave a bewildered expression before fixing her robe and stepping back. The look on her face indicated that what he said might actually be true. Ryder believed he was just lucky that his brains won this battle instead of his balls.
"Master", Brenna spoke before leaving his room looking all red.
'I hope she doesn't feel bad about what I did.'
After all that just happened, Ryder felt like he was tried enough to sleep now. Jumping on his bed, his eyes shut close. Within a few seconds he drifted off.
Ryder was woken up slightly by the sounds of birds from outside the castle. The windows to his room eventually opened causing the rays of the sun to invade his face. Upon opening his eyes, he noticed a maid by the side of the open window. The maid quickly bent over, hoping that she had not annoyed Ryder in anyway.
'She is afraid of me? But why?'
In response, he rose his hand and gave a slight smile. The maid looked shocked though to see this reaction from him.
'Did the Ryder of this world react badly in these kind of situations', he wondered to himself.
So far the impression this guy was giving him was a bad one. Ryder noticed that Brenna had not come to his room this morning. This was strange because she seemed like the type to do something like that. Now he had no choice but to believe he hurt her. Turning to the side of the bed, he noticed his school uniform laying on a chair.
'What!? I am late for school!'
Ryder jumped off the bed, bathed and wore the fancy looking uniform. His maids wished to perform these tasks for him but he wasn't having any of that. He believed that these ladies were not prepared to see what was hiding under his clothes. With his hair still wet, he dashed out of the house heading for school.
"Where exactly are you going to looking like that?"
Ryder turned around upon hearing Brenna's voice. She was wearing the same uniform he had on. The answer to the question was really an obvious one so she proceeded to speak more on the matter.
"If you want to go to school so bad I insist you at least use the chariot, Master Ryder."
Just then it hit him, he had no idea where the school was in the first place so he couldn't really refuse. He nodded afterwards heading in the direction of his ride.
"Why do you want to go so bad anyways? Today we having magic related classes and you never go for them. You are already an expert when it comes to magic, nothing else is left for you to learn", Brenna said.
'I am an expert at magic casting!? I can use magic!?'
Since Ryder came to this world he never really looked at the possibility that he could use magic. Now that he was aware of his exceptional skill in casting, that became more of reason for him to go.
Brenna noticing the glint of excitement in Ryder's eyes said nothing more on the topic. The two climbed into the chariot afterwards, having a quiet ride to the school.
The snorting sounds of the horses was heard after some minutes indicating that they had reached their destination. Ryder came out of the carriage, following closely behind Brenna. It was one thing to get to the school, however it was a totally different thing to find where his classes were being held.
As he passed through the school gates, Ryder's attention was drawn to the name of the school. It was clearly a name he had never seen in his life.
'Driffucho Esor academy, huh. What a weird name.'
Walking through the school halls, Ryder could feel the intense gaze of many people in the academy. He couldn't really understand the reason why, though he believed it had something to do with his wet hair.
'Great! Embarrassing myself on the first day of school, really smooth', Ryder felt like punching himself.
His attention eventually shifted to Brenna who by his side. She seemed to be unfazed by the attention that he drew to them. Though at a closer glimpse, he wasn't really sure if he was the one dragging all this attention. Brenna eventually came to a stop at the door of a particular room next to them. Looking into the room, he noticed it was arranged similar to that of a lecture room in Earth colleges.
"This is your classroom, Master Ryder", Brenna stared at him with a confused expression.
Not to seem weird he went straight into the classroom with Brenna right behind him. The once noisy classroom became dead silent when he walked into the room. Multiple eyes fell on him as he walked to an empty sit behind. The sheer pressure from this stares made him feel like he would explode any moment. Luckily for him, he was saved by the male teacher who entered the class. The students returned back to their sits partially forgetting about the two who had just walked into the class.
"Good morning students, hope you are prepared for.....", The teacher paused looking as if he had seen a ghost. "Master Ryder, to what do I owe this pleasure."
'Master!?', Ryder thought to himself. 'Seriously am I a king or something!?'
Ryder felt like he needed to answer this question so that he wouldn't seem disrespectful, however his comments not too long ago confused the crap out of him. Brenna already expecting him not to answer spoke out while still sitting on her chair.
"No need to be alarmed, Mr. Dime. Master Ryder just felt like attending your class today. Please continue as you have planned."
"I understand, my lady."
'What the heck just happened!?', Ryder questioned himself.
The teacher turned around teaching the students as if nothing had happened. Ryder could easily tell he was still tense as his body language was a huge give away. Was this man really afraid of him? But why? These were the type of questions that ran through his head as the class commenced. It was quite obvious that he knew nothing about this planet's Ryder.
This gave birth to his most pressing question of all, who exactly was Ryder? Was he a scumbag villian or a hero of some sort? All in all one thing was very clear, the knowledge he had acquired from his days of reading too much manga was going to come in handy.
The two hours class went by quicker than expected with Ryder focusing on what was being taught with all of his attention. Meanwhile, Brenna had the perfect opportunity to think about her master's recent behaviors. It couldn't be described as anything but strange. Upon reaching the end of the class, the teacher Mr. Dime decided to carry out a practical to demonstrate something on magic. Ryder's eyes widened during this moment as he anticipated what was about to happen. This of course did not do anything for the teacher but add pressure on him. "Just like I said, magic is performed when magicules are harnessed by magic users. It is a simple process. First absorb the magicules in the environment." Ryder could clearly see white colored particles moving in the air. In a few seconds it made a magic symbol that was visible to the human eyes. "It is important that you imagine what you want to do when you are absorbing these magicules. This will ultimately determine th
Ryder woke up feeling of the warm rays of the morning sun on his face. To his surprise, he saw the same maid of the previous day bending over like she did before. For some reason he felt like slapping his forehead at that moment, though he managed to control himself. 'Why is she still doing that!?' The same like last time he waved his hand with a warm smile on his face. Jumping out of bed, Ryder had a quick montage of him wearing the clothes that had been left for him on his chair. Just like on Earth, Mageia days were named in according of a Monday to a Sunday. Refusing to stress himself with these names he considered today Wednesday, a school day. After everything he had experienced in school the previous day though, there was no way he was going to school that day. Walking through the halls of the castle, Ryder noticed that Brenna had not come to his room this morning either. 'Am I supposed to be worried about her?', Ryder questioned himself. There was a
A determinant Ryder dropped off from his chariot observing every detail of his environment. He immediately noticed the large number of people that were entering into the school. The question was, were they all students from the school or did they just come to witness the fight? 'Is this match really that important', Ryder couldn't help but wonder. His attention was dragged away by Brenna who got off the chariot shortly after. Her eyes was brimming with a hint of doubt and confidence. Surely it was because she wanted to believe her master was not going to lose this time. Ryder looked her in the eye before holding and squeezing her hand lightly. He wanted to tell her everything was okay, though he knew that it wasn't his place to do so. It was him that was going to get his ass beat anyways. The two walked into the school attracting a large number of eyes like last time. This time with the help of Brenna, Ryder was able to know where the path way to the dome was
"Begin!" Dalt opened up the fight with a straight forward charge with the same incredible speed Ryder had witnessed when he first came to Mageia. Closing the distance between them in an instant, Dalt hurled a quick jab to his opponent's face. Dodging the attack barely, Ryder lost balance and landed on his butt. That was not all he had to offer however as Dalt soon continued the assault on Ryder. Receiving countless blows from his opponent, Ryder managed to push him back with his hand. To his greatest surprise this was done with ease and resulted in Dalt falling to the ground. In what seemed like an instant, the pain from all those attacks vanished from Ryder's body. Making use of his current situation, he rolled up on his back and stood to his feet. Dalt who was still on the floor gave a bewildered look trying to understand what had just happened. To Dalt this was the first time he had ever been overpowered so easily. The fact that he was overwhelmed was not what
The ride back home was quiet as expected. Ryder on the other hand had more emotional energy radiating from him more than usual. Brenna who was an expert at reading his emotions felt all of this, however she chose to remain silent. Upon reaching the castle, Ryder dropped off heading to his room without any form of hesitation. Opening his door and jumping on the bed, Ryder dived deep into his thoughts with a rather stern expression. It was soon discovered that he did not come out for the entirety of that day. Sun rays flashed on Ryder's eyes as he laid asleep in bed. Opening his eyes, he realized that it was a brand new day. His early morning routine always included the sun invading his eye lids. Even though he wished this could be changed, he was starting to get use to it. Sitting up on his large bed, Ryder noticed the maid who was bending over as usual. At this point he was starting to believe this was her own morning routine. Perplexed, Ryder gave a confused look at
Ryder woke up to the sound of humming from a distance. Sitting up, he rubbed his throbbing head as he tried to remember events from when he was previously conscious. His eyes widened as he came to realize what had happened. He had been poisoned and stabbed in the chest by Brenna, his own fiance. "Is this heaven?", Ryder asked himself as he took in the view of his environment. "Oh..it's just my room. Seems I am going to be suffering some more in this world. But how exactly am I alive?" It didn't make any sense that he was still alive right now as he had been stabbed though his heart. 'What is going on?' Ryder's thoughts soon got sidetracked by the memories of the events that had taken place since his arrival on Mageia. At that moment he came to the belief that he was just one unlucky douchebag. When he first came to this new world, he didn't panic so much as he saw this as a new opportunity for himself. Sure he didn't believe he deserved to replace the previous
Ryder and Lassie dropped off at the academy just as planned while Vienna left in search of Brenna. Upon getting to the academy, Ryder had no idea where to go, however Lassie pointed towards the academy halls without him saying a word. He wasn't sure but it seemed like Vienna was aware he wouldn't be able to find this place. This caused him to feel slightly on edge. Walking through the halls of the academy, him and his fiancee eventually got to a tile of a different color than the one he knew. To be precise, this floor tile was black in color. Feeling hesitant about the whole thing he paused in place. Though he was assured things were okay by the calming look on Lassie's face. Stepping on the tile, the duo was transported to a room Ryder had never been in before. The room had a cosmic look just like the students training room, however it was different. Unlike the other, the space had a blue color and this place seemed to contain just a door room. "This should be y
Walking back to his carriage with Lassie, Ryder thought about what had happened only a few minutes ago. He could feel the blood in his body rushing all over. He really did what he did, yes he did. 'What the heck did I just do!? I am going to die for sure..!' Back then he was only saying what he felt within himself. His mind was not really thinking about the consequences of saying something like that. He would not be surprised in anyway if they made an attempt on his precious life. Refusing to let Lassie know that he had regrets for what he had just done, he turned his face the opposite way. "You surprised me when you said an actual sentence to them. What surprised me the most was the fact that you actually tried to defend the low breeds, and most of all in front of them. They definitely hate you more than before now", Lassie expressed what was in her mind. Ryder could feel his mood plummet further from her words. What he did was really dumb after all. At least she said
