[Tempest Of The Starry Night] has arrived! “Welcome Players, to the Spirit Gathering Forest! The race track has been predetermined by @[Early Morning Chaos], and the race would begin in a few hours… Please familiarize yourself with the environment before that time…” The sweet sounding voice of a female sounded directly in heads of all the players, and her words brought a frown to their faces. Some of them looked around themselves while others had begun to move around in order to get used to their bodies. Some richer and more intelligent players had began to spend their real life money on purchasing premium packages and boosts. Even Robert [Early Morning Chaos], had purchased a few packages of healing potions. Arthur on the other hand was busy modifying and upgrading the car he brought with a smirk on his face. He had already thrown $10000 into upgrading this car he brought for a mere $20000, and he couldn't help but smile at his investment. Since he was only able to purchase low
Arthur's eyes teared up as he narrowly evaded a terrifying crescent slash that nearly cleaved his fine head in two symmetrical halves. He still wanted to cry, but had no tears. “Slash! Slash! Slash!” “Dodge! Dodge! Dodge!” Attacks were unleashed, the target evaded without much effort, and the game of cat chasing mouse began! The movements of the two contestants seemed to be in a loop, without a single unique movement or technique besides: “Slash! Slash! Slash!” “Dodge! Dodge! Dodge!” The other players, Lilith , Fay and Robert included, ran after the two crazily all around the forest without pausing to rest or wait. They were all hyped up at the witness of another major fight, and to this, they ran like criminal supervillains on drugs. Back to the fight, [Energy: 105/200] Arthur frowned in tears and pain, even with as much torture he was going through now, his petty and disgraceful energy was about to run out on him. He was terrified now as every movement he make uses not le
Killing her would only give him the meagre bonus of 1000 EXP and a few trashy rewards like her sword and some unwanted money… It would also bring the [Player Hunter Mark] upon himself and a bounty to whosoever kills him. 1000 EXP isn't worth getting chased around by mad players, as he would lose a lot of time meant for practice to either instability or maybe insanity after getting chased around like a rat. In his eyes, the profits of killing Felicia isn't worth his suffering. All he could do was simply ignore her for the time being. She has a volatile character, but wasn't dumb or stupid enough to attack someone who defeated her twice in a row… "Get up, you lost." Arthur spat coldly as he offered his hand hesitantly to the struggling Felicia with a frown on his face, he really wish he'd knocked her out but she had more Endurance[END] than he thought! "You moron. That was just dumb luck… Don't act cocky because you defeated me just this one time." Despite her provoking words, she
Jack balanced himself in his seat, relaxed his arm around his steering wheel and loosened his shoulders. He looked out through the window, dozens of fierce looking vehicles aligned in preparation for the race. A race that he must attain victory in - just for the money at least, or maybe to rub it in Jacob's face that he won. [29] … [28] … [27] "Weapons and gear, checked. Defensive and control systems up, vehicle power accumulated to the max." [21] … [20] … [19] "Shield and Missiles activated. Hydraulics, Engine and Suspension upgraded to the max." [10] … [9] … [8] Jack took in a deep breath, and put on his game face - a cold and expressionless mask. In a few seconds, the race of a lifetime would kickstart, and there should be only one winner… [4] … [3] … [2] Jack grinned, as he stepped on accelerate speeding past a few stunned players and leaving them to eat dust. His fierce headstart made him reach the Top 10 in the few few seconds. [GO!] "Dammit! Everyone, take that idi
Arthur, sneered in his heart after thinking for a while, his expression nonchalant and gaze cold. He grinned madly after a while and tightened his grip around the "gear stick" - switching gear to "4" as he spun the wheel, forcing his car to turn it back to the track and it's front to the incoming vehicles. With a wild grin on his face, Arthur stepped on reverse, making his car dash back at terrifying speeds as he aimed at @Once A Shadow and @Shining Mist with the missile launcher attached to his vehicle. "What the…" The duo were stunned at Arthur's action, their brows furrowed upon their sighting of him driving off in such a strange way. Unlike them, Robert was calm and undisturbed - his expression tranquil. Without even giving the dou time to react, Robert put his car on reverse, driving backwards at an average speed. He had already gotten an idea of Arthur's plan, and knew exactly what to do in this situation. By the time @Shining Star and @Once A Shadow slowly rose from their
@Once A Shadow was stunned, he had lost count of how many stunning stunts @Arthur Walker had pulled today. Now, he was speechless seeing what had taken place before him - his whole body gone stiff. All he could see before him was no longer the track of dirt and debris, but a trail of ice and snow as far as he could see. Now he understood, why exactly he had lost control of his vehicle's steering. @Once A Shadow frowned at this situation, his brows knitted as his gaze sharpened. A very simple way for him to break out of this situation was to simply raise the friction of his tires with the ice. He could do that by either increasing speed to a very terrifying rate, mimicking the Blazing Wheels skill - although it was a good plan as the overheating of his tires and the speed of his drive could tear through the ice, he also needed to put into consideration the idea of him ruining his wheels during the drive. If the tires get ruined, then all his past effort would be wasted completely
Arthur frowned as he continued his drive, his gaze was locked on the vehicle ahead and his body was a little bit too tense. He stepped on accelerate, spinning his wheel to side as he drove into a lane of loose sand. Slowly increasing his speed, he began to close up on to his target. His gaze sharpened upon noticing the design of his opponent's vehicle. The vehicle, which was driven by an unknown player @Burning Glaciers, was the definition of “Beast”. It's height, towering over 2 metres due to it's monstrous build, was armoured with layers upon layers of sturdy looking metal ridden with short, but sharp spikes. It's spiked tires, which were as tall as a full grown man, was practically tearing through the dirt with little to practically zero effort. It's terrifying build made the car run at extremely slow speeds. Arthur frowned deeply, he didn't even try to overtake or even think about overtaking without a good plan. He wasn't a genius, but he wasn't stupid either, and even a fool
Jack glanced at the towering “beast” driving besides him with a deep frown on his face, his eyes gleaming in a strange light as he spun his steering to the left - driving his car away from the loose sand land lane. The ”Beast” which was driven by @Burning Glaciers, also swayed to the side after Jack, the sound of spiked tires tearing through the sand, metal and trash wasn't pleasant to hear in the slightest. Jack frowned upon seeing that the idiot had given chase, he felt like strangling the guy in his dreams! "This move of the enemy is very annoying to me who wants to reach the top as fast as possible…" Jack's eyes were bloodshot as he spoke to himself, he calmed himself and continued, "With a car as huge as that, it must have weak down force… That is that, if it was cast into the sky - it would be very difficult for it to balance itself." Jack was a bit confused as to how he would be able to toss such a car into the air. After a while of thinking, his mind wandered to the min
