Lord Leinhart’s announcement seemed to make everyone except Mia and her parents glad. They have been plotting ways to impeach Mia from her position as the CEO of the family business.

Somehow Mia had been able to escape their traps without getting hit. This was a free opportunity that came to them for free. The members of the Leinhart family converted the position of the CEO because they could earn a lot from it..

Being the highest position in the family, the CEO gets a new ride every three months and they stay in a luxurious Villa to themselves. They also get unrestricted trips around the world, plus recognition from everyone in the country.

“Father, that is extreme.” Mia’s mother lamented. “Stripping her off her positions

and kicking us out is not fair on us.”

“Sister-in-law, It is also fair that she gets punishment for marrying an unworthy man into the Leinhart family,” Melissa’s mother said back then she faced Lord Leinhart.

“Father, now that the position of the CEO is now empty, can Melissa begin to work there?” She shamelessly asked, causing everyone to be shocked with how direct she was with her request.

Mia’s father, Mason and Melissa’s late father, Max were twins, but they were the greatest enemies of each other, their hate relationship transferred to their kids.

“Why do you think your daughter is going to get it? Are the rest of us puppets?” One of Mia’s aunty, Lord Leinhart’s first daughter yelled.

“We watched the youngest adult in this house take it, now you want the second youngest to take it, while we rot in our old positions right?” Another of Lord Leinhart’s daughters added.

“If you add this energy to your own positions in the company instead of fighting, I am sure, we would have no competitors. We only managed to stay afloat because of Mia and her parents.”

“That is because you made the bosses.” His daughter retorted

“Okay then. I want to see which one of you can beat their records, then.” Lord Leinhart said, then he thought of the right task to give them.

“The position is open to anyone who can get us a deal with the starfall group. The new company that is going to begin investing billions of dollars into a potential company. Anyone that can get it will be the next CEO.” Lord Leinhart declared.

“I have something to say.” Logan raised his hand before he moved close to where Mia was sitting. “Whta is my wife, Mia is the first to land the deal with the starfall group, will she get her position back as the CEO?”

The family went silent and they turned to Lord Leinhart waiting for his answer.

“Yes,” Lord Leinhart sneered. “She is a member of the family after all." he added.

A smile formed on Mia’s face. “Thank you for the opportunity, grandpa," She said to her grandpa

“I will be sure to get the deal and take my position from these scavengers. I haven’t even left the room, they already have thoughts of taking my place when I have not been dismissed for up to a day.” She thought to herself.

“I will work hard in getting the deal for our family. The LH group will definitely get the deal.’ Mia assured her grandfather.

“How sure are you that you will get the deal? The Starfall groups don't give contracts to strangers, they don't even speak to people from other companies without giving them an invite. How do you intend to bag a deal from them?” Melissa scoffed.

She was so sure that Mia wasn’t going to beat her this time. Deep down in her heart, she was happy that she wouldn't have to pay so much money trying to hinder her cousin.

The last time she tried to spread a fake scandal about Mia, she spent a lot of money and yet Mia was able to get out of the scandal without hurting the family’s image.

Which caused her to spend a million dollars to cover the source of the scandal, even the amount she had spent, Mia knew she was the one behind it.

“You are also going to attempt to get the deal, so we will both find our ways around it.” Mia replied, wondering why the Starfall group was so tight.

It was true that the true owners of the Starfall group kept an anonymous profile and their general manager was very hard to meet.

The company was inarguably one of the fastest growing companies in the country and their success rate on every project they take on is always a hundred percent success. That is probably why Lord Leinahet wanted a deal from them.

They must have denied him the access to meet the Chairman of the Starfall group and he wanted to get a deal from them at cost. He threw the task at his family because they are all desperate to get the deal.

Melissa adjusted in her seat. “Well the general manager there is my boyfriend. You can assume that this project is something I've gotten.” She boasted then she faced her grandfather. “Entrust this to me, grandpa. I will bring the contract to you.”

Mia’s face turned pale, when she heard her cousin’s words. Melissa was more than two steps ahead of her. She had connections with the Starfall’s group number one staff.

The famous Robert Gu. He was a rich man but she didn’t know that he was the boyfriend that often spoiled her cousin with numerous gifts.

“Miss Mia Leinhart, ah should I sayMrs Mia Frost now that you are married.” Melissa mocked. “Does your husband know anyone in Starfall group?”

Mia’s parents wore a look of disappointment on their faces

“How could he possibly know anyone there?” Melissa’s mom laughed. “Even the lowly staff of the Starfall group won’t relate with a lowlife like him.”

They wanted Mia to feel so embarrassed after she managed to keep her head up when Lord Leinhart removed her as the CEO.

“I know who the CEO of Starfall is.” Logan declared.
