Logan sat in the dimly lit conference room, the sterile white walls of the agency’s testing facility contrasting with the tension in the air. He had never felt more out of place.

It wasn’t his first time running a full body check up in the agency but the environment still get strange to him. Across from him sat the members of the panel of the agency.

To his right stood Dr. Stanton, the agency’s top neuropsychologist, a stern woman in her late fifties who specialized in memory retrieval and cognitive therapy.

She was one of the few people Logan had worked with before, though their interactions had always been limited to routine evaluations.

Today was different. Today, she wasn’t here to help him she was here to test him, to determine the extent of his memory loss, and whether it was real or just a carefully crafted lie.

His own personal doctor that worked in his base wasn't present, they had lied to him but he wasn’t giing to whine about it like a little kid.
