Sam made his way through the winding corridors of the secluded estate where Lydia was staying. The news of her giving birth had reached him just a few days earlier, and he knew that he needed to visit her, to show his support.

He hadn’t been as present as he would have liked during her pregnancy, caught up in his own life and struggles, but now that the baby was here, he wanted to make amends.

As he approached Lydia’s room, he felt a mix of emotions. Sam had always admired his younger sister’s strength, but seeing her become a mother added a new layer of respect. He knocked softly on the door and heard a faint “Come in” from inside.

Pushing the door open, Sam stepped into the cozy room, where Lydia was seated in a rocking chair, cradling her newborn son. The soft light streaming through the window bathed her and the baby in a warm glow, and for a moment, Sam just stood there, taking in the scene.

“Sam,” Lydia said, her face lighting up with a smile. “You came.”
