Sofia's voice trembled as she hung up, her face going pale with panic. Without a second thought, she rushed inside.

Arthur was right behind her, matching her pace as they reached the ICU entrance.

Inside, Sofia’s father lay in the bed, hooked up to a tangle of IV lines and machines.

Doctors and nurses moved in a blur, doing their best to keep him stable.

By the bed stood a man who looked a lot like Sofia—Marco Ricci, Sofia’s brother, also the newly appointed gang leader.

Arthur peeked through the small window; his eyes immediately drawn to the old man’s deteriorating condition.

In his sixties, the elderly man had always struggled with health problems, but now, his condition seem

The lights in the room were still on, but the warmth had drained out of them, like an invisible black mist had taken over. The glow was swallowed by the shadow, turning cold and eerie, casting an unsettling vibe to anyone who dared to step inside. The air felt heavy, thick with something off.Two nurses and a doctor stood in the middle of the room—not helping anyone, not even moving. They were frozen, as if trapped by some unseen force, stuck in place. The three of them formed a tight circle, eyes blank, postures weirdly stiff, like they were guarding something dark and forbidden. But the worst part?
