RICHARD'S POV

I could see the businessmen present exchanging glances, intrigued, the earlier laughter dying down as they began to picture the possibilities.

That's when Clarkson stood up, his voice slicing through the murmur Like a knife.

"You actually believe that child's play will win over the council?"

I straightened up, facing him with a calm I barely felt. "It's more than just a playground, Clarkson. It's a vision for economic growth and community development. But you know what? Let's Let the council decide."

His smirk was a clear challenge. "Oh, we will. And Let's make this interesting, shall we?" he proposed, a sneer curling his Lip. He turned to the audience, their eyes keenly fixed at the unfolding drama.

“If the council chooses your... Kiddies carnival over our sophisticated complex, I'll grovel at your feet and wear a clown nose at the next meeting. But if we win, he will kneel and declare his foolishness. This way, you’ll pay for your stupidity and audacity.”
