“How did the meeting go?” Leonora inquired curiously from her brother as soon as his assistant put him on the phone.

“It started well but it didn’t end well.” He sounded dejected.

“What happened? You sound like you got disappointed.”

“It is more like my past came to attack me.” He let out a sigh.

“Fill me in, don’t keep me in suspense.”

“Someone that knew me from the factory said I am not on the company’s side because of how I was treated at the factory. He said they couldn’t trust me and the others agreed with him.”

“Really? They decided to not work with you for that reason? Did you tell them who you were?”

“Yes, I said I was Lorenzo.”

“Did you tell them that you were the chairman’s son?”

“No. I didn’t want them to accept my opinion without considering the pros and cons.”

“They wouldn’t do that. Brother, you need to get your act together and be assertive. You should have stopped them from leaving even if you had to use their incentives to threaten them.”

“I don’t think t
