Chapter 29

Leonora kicked her heels off her feet and put them together by the door. Her little action reminded him of Hazel.

The only difference is that Hazel never picked her shoes up after her.

She went straight into their father’s room and Lorenzo followed suit. She had managed to hold a conversation with Aurora before they dropped her off.

Her weary was written on her. She could not hide her emotions as she saw her father. She laid on chest as tears crawled out of her serially.

Lorenzo asked the caregiver to follow him outside. “What did the doctor say when he came? How is his condition?”

“The chairman isn’t improving. The doctors took him to the hospital to run some tests on him.”

The caregiver went into the room and came back. “He handed a file to Lorenzo.”

Lorenzo open the file with mixed feelings.

“The chairman has had multiple heart attacks in the past, which he managed. The doctors said he might not survive this attack.”
