“I heard you flew in yesterday.” The familiar voice caught Lorenzo’s attention, and he raised his head up.

He had spent the whole day reading every report that came from every one of their businesses. Being a conglomerate was not one easy job.

“You didn’t knock on the door.” He got up from the chair and headed to the coffee machine to make some coffee for them.

He knew about her habits of taking off her shoes when she wants to be sneaky.

“I did. Someone was just too engrossed in their work to notice me.” She settled in his chair and spun around. “Weee.”

“I was just looking at a few things.” He handed her a cup, and he laid down on the sofa. “You are a child, gee.”

“This doesn’t look like a few things,” she looked at the heap of notepads and files sitting on his table. “Yes. I don’t look like I’m 29 :), do I?”

“You don’t. How did you know I had returned?” He folded his arms and closed his eyes.

She smiled in response to his answer.
