"Before I forget, how did the interview go?" Junior asked.

Micah's eyes shifted slightly, and he cleared his throat before responding, "Uh, well, you know, it was... it was okay, I guess." His fingers nervously tapped against his trouser, a telltale sign of his unease.

Junior's eyebrows raised as he detected Micah's hesitation. "Just 'okay'? How did it really go?"

Micah's cheeks flushed, and he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "Well, when I first mentioned it to you, you seemed pretty nonchalant about the whole thing," he stammered. "So, I guess I was kind of, um, surprised. But, yeah, the interview went... decently. They asked about my experience and all."

Junior's playful expression shifted into a look of realization, and he straightened up. "Wait, you thought I didn't care? Micah, I was just trying to play it cool, man! I'm actually really interested in how it went."
