Family dinner(1)

"As your therapist Mr Kelvin, I won't suggest that you keep involving in these intimate interactions due to the state of your current mental health.", Theodore said as he took off his glasses.

"Well I can't help it, I am a man and I've got urges I need to quell.", Kelvin stated with a laugh.

"True, but I just want you know that it isn't good for you.", Theodore added.

Kelvin released a sigh before moving his gaze to the ceiling, becoming lost in his thoughts.

"I've done everything.", Kelvin suddenly said.

"I became one of the richest men in the world, and I'm also one of the most powerful. Heck, I'm even friends with president of the fucking country! Why do I still feel this way?", Kelvin exclaimed as he buried his face in his palms.

"Only you can answer that question.", Theodore responded.

"I'm pretty sure I'm paying you to answer that question."

"There are questions that only we can answer Mr Kelvin."

"Stop with the "Mr" thing, just call me kelvin.", Kelvin said with a sigh as he laid back on the couch.

"Ok, Kelvin. Tell me more about what happened that day."

"Well..."

....

Kelvin sat in his limousine staring outside his window at the moving scenery and released a small sigh.

"How are you doing?", Gary asked.

"Not so good.", Kelvin responded.

Gary had come to pick him up a few minutes ago with the limousine driver. After tidying himself up, he had gotten out of his house and into the car so that he could head to the airport. He was already about an hour late due to his session with Diana.

"By the way, I saw Diana's car parked outside. I thought we talked about this.", Gary said with a disappointed tone.

Even though he was Kelvin's colleague and employee, he was also one of the few close friends that Kelvin had. He knew how Kelvin felt inside and had tried his best to advice him about his sexual habits but he never listened.

"It was just a one time thing, we aren't doing it again. I promise.", Kelvin smiled.

"Don't smile at me like that, you and I both know the kind of chokehold that girl gets on you once you both start banging. It took you three months to get over her last time."

"Well to be honest, this is nothing like last time. There are no feelings attached. She enjoys me and I enjoy her too."

"Damn... your mum was right, you do need a girlfriend.", Gary said while shaking his head.

"You've been talking with my mum?", Kelvin asked.

"Don't act surprised, you know she regards me as her son."

"You're a white boy, you can't be her son.", Kelvin laughed.

"Hey, stop it. That's racist.", Gary said in a stern tone.

"Is it?"

"Yes."

"In that case, I apologize then."

The ride to the airport remained silent after that interaction as they both just fiddled with their phones until they reached their destination.

They quickly passed through airport security since they didn't carry any bags with them. Kelvin never travelled with luggage due to his paranoia.

Evertime he was being check by airport security, he always got scared that he had some kind of contraband or probably a dead goat in his bag even though he knew there was nothing like that.

He just stopped carrying luggage so he wouldn't get a heart attack one day. If he was going to stay long at his destination then he would do some shopping. This habit rubbed off on Gary and he never took luggage with him when he travelled too.

It only took a few minutes and Kelvin was now seated in his multimillion dollar plane waiting for it to take off. He then spotted Gary sitting down and making himself comfortable.

"Gary?", Kelvin called out.

"Yeah?, What is it?"

"What the hell are you doing on my plane?"

"I'm coming with you for the family dinner.", Gary responded with a smile.

"Nope. Nah, hell no. It's called a family dinner, not a "family and a friend dinner". Get out or I'll get my bodyguard to throw you out.", Kelvin said pointing at his bodyguard who sat behind him.

"First off, your mum invited me. So even if you throw me out, I'll still be there at the dinner table. Secondly," Gary moved his gaze to the bodyguard, "I dare you to come take me out this plane Steve."

"Nah bro, I'm good.", Steve responded while raising his hands up.

"The hell is wrong with you man?, You're suppose to be my bodyguard.", Kelvin said to Steve.

"Yeah but Gary chooses your bodyguard, I might lose this job if I do that.", Steve answered.

"I hate you both.", Kelvin said while sticking out his middle finger.

"Hate you too.", Gary replied while returning the gesture.

The pilot's voice sounded from the speakers telling them that they were about to take off and every passenger on the plane fastened their seat belts. In the next few moments, they were already soaring through the sky towards California.

A little more than five hours later, they had already began their descent to the Los Angeles international airport's runway. It was already 6pm and they had to hurry if they wanted to make it in time.

They came down from the airplane to meet three black Ford SUVs waiting for them with multiple security personnel dressed in black suits.

Kelvin just glanced at Gary who then told him that the security was necessary. Gary knew how much he hated this level of security since it made him feel like his every move was being watched and he didn't like that feeling.

In the end, he had no choice. His status in society required this. All he could now was get in the vehicle and begin the one hour dive to Santa Monica.

"Hey, did you get anything for your parents?", Gary suddenly asked as they were already rocketing down the road to their destination.

"What?", Kelvin asked, a bit confused.

"Please tell me you got a gift for your parents."

"Why I would do that?, They have everything they could ever need. What else do I need to get them?"

"Kelvin, you haven't seen your parents in like six months. That is enough reason to get something for them, not to mention the fact that it's rude to go to a dinner without anything.", Gary stated.

"Ugh, fine. Make a few calls and get them a Buggati or something.", Kelvin said while returning his gaze outside the window.

"That's overkill. You don't want to come off as a proud rich boy at the dinner table.", Gary cautioned.

"I am a proud rich boy. And besides, it would just be me, my family.... and you unfortunately.", Kelvin rolled his eyes at the end of his statement.

"I'm not suppose to tell you this but there will be other people at the table.", Gary informed.

"What?"

"Hold on, I'm just telling you this because I don't want you to embarrass yourself.", Gary quickly said as he saw the expression on Kelvin's face.

"I just know this is my mum's idea.", Kelvin sighed and rubbed his temples to calm himself down.

"Don't worry big guy. I got your back.", Gary said with a smile.

"That doesn't make me any happier."
