‘What happened to not letting me touch her?’ Lucifer’s voice echoed in my head making me stop in my tracks, I could feel Ariel’s breathing quicken and descend as I stopped, I made her breathless, and if Lucifer hadn’t said anything I would have went the rest of the way, I would have made her mine completely.

“Is something wrong” She asked, trying to calm her breathing.

“I’m sorry, I can’t do this.” I say sitting on the edge of the bed, looking towards the floor.

“Did I do something wrong?” Her voice was small, and full of self-doubt.

I spun around to face her. “No, you did absolutely no wrong, its-it’s me I can’t get to close to you right now, it’s not safe.”

“Not safe? What does that mean?” She asks taken back by the question.

Lie. Think of a lie, any lie.

“My magic, it seems to be brought on by deep emotion and I can’t control it, what if I end up hurting you? I wouldn’t be able to live with myself.” I looked into her eyes and placed my hand on her porcelaine like cheek.
