The week ended fast, dragging on Monday morning. The breeze escaping into the large French window on the east wing of the Williams mansion sent cold shivers to Mason's feet, which weren't covered by the blanket. He peels his eyes from his slumber, glancing at the alarm by his side. The device was yet to carry out its daily routine, and Mason, not waiting for the obnoxious sound to vibrate, crawled out of bed to begin the day.

Mason felt his heart skip a beat when the earlier conversation with his mother clocked in his mind.
