Mr.Douglas

Jacob, wearing his usual mischievous smile, stares at Mason, but Mason ignores his gaze and returns his eyes to Mr.Douglass, who, to his surprise, has a smile that reciprocates Jacob's greetings.

"Hello, Jacod! How are you?" Mr.Douglas asked in a friendly tone that didn't match his earlier deportment.

"I'm fine, sir," Jacob replied. “I'm sorry for coming late to your class. I had to take care of something." Along with those words was a facade he wore to accompany his apology.

"It's alright; take your seat," Mr.Douglas said, ignoring Mason's stunned expression. Jacob, with a smirk on his lips, glanced at Mason before making his way towards his seat. Mason shook his head, watching him navigate through the class. He sat next to Natalia, who was smiling at the words he whispered into her ears.

Mason pulled his eyes from them and went to his seat, but Mr.Doglas would root his feet on the floor.
