Good Friends

"Sh*t, sh*t, sh*t!"

Aaron couldn't stop from swearing. He continued to run as fast as he could, but the roar of the Giant Angry Stone was getting closer from behind him.

Aaron began to think about moving to a hidden place instead of running towards the city, at least then he could secure all his equipment after being killed by the monster.

So Aaron turns towards the grove of trees. His feet jumped over shrubs and sharp dry branches. Even though this is a game world, players can still feel the pain!

But, Aaron now changed his running direction when he suddenly saw several sword cultivators darting towards him from the front!

Aaron just wanted to avoid the players by moving to a hidden place, but why were there so many sword cultivators in this place?

At the moment, Aaron's entire hope had been dashed. He quickly started planning what he should do if the worst happened: he died and lost his EXP, Black Dragon Mushroom, all his money, and even his favorite armor.

They-those sword cultivators-would surely loot all his treasures without leaving anything behind.

Encountering the Giant Angry Stone was truly a misfortune!

But after a while, the thudding sound suddenly stopped, replaced with a guttural cry of pain. Aaron stopped running and looked back knowing that the scream was coming from the suffering Giant Angry Stone!

There, he saw the several sword cultivators who had been galloping towards him, now working together to attack the huge monster.

"Treasure! HAHAHAHA! Treasure!"

"Tonight we'll eat well!"

"Focus on attacking! Don't let this monster escape."

There were five of them in total, filled with men. Aaron saw that their levels still ranged from 9 to 11, supposedly no match for a level 30 spirit beast like the Giant Angry Stone.

However, they had very compact cooperation, as if they had been trained to deal with this kind of situation.

They attacked simultaneously from all sides and did not hesitate to bet on protecting their comrades if attacked. As a result, the Giant Angry Stone was unable to pinpoint its target. The spirit beast attacked haphazardly!

"Hey, Brother! You've brought this monster for us, let's attack together so you can gain EXP too!"

One of those sword cultivators happily offered Aaron to join and knock out the Giant Angry Stone together.

Aaron smiled warmly. People like them were already very rare. Supposedly, they could immobilize the Giant Angry Stone very easily with that advantage, but they didn't hesitate to offer Aaron to immobilize the spirit beast so that he could still gain EXP.

Aaron wasn't going to waste the opportunity to make good friends and gain EXP too. He took out his sword and advanced towards the Giant Angry Stone!

When he was only three steps away from the monster, Aaron jumped high and slashed the monster's leg with his sword.

'Clang!'

Aaron bounced back a few steps after successfully launching the attack. But it didn't end well. His sword was broken in half and could no longer be used.

After all, the Giant Angry Stone's entire body was made of rock that had been deposited over the centuries, that also included its legs!

So when Aaron's cheap sword slashed through it, it would definitely break into pieces without causing any significant damage to the Giant Angry Stone. No matter how skillfully Aaron wielded the sword, it was a pity.

"Brother, back away if you don't have a spare sword. We can't guarantee this big monster can be controlled!"

Aaron knew the truth of those words, so he began to take a distance and watched the Giant Angry Stone being paralyzed slowly.

One by one, the giant angry stone's body parts were destroyed by sword slashes. Now with one leg left, the spirit beast could do nothing as his five opponents began to destroy everything it had left.

"Satiety!" One of the sword cultivators rubbed his tummy after some EXP entered his body. He was only one step away from level 12!

One of them approached Aaron with a sad smile. When he glanced at Aaron's shattered sword, his smile grew even sadder.

"Forgive us, my friend. Because we invited you to fight, you had to lose your sword." The swordsman expressed his regret sincerely.

Aaron shook his head softly with a laugh, "There's no need to apologize, it's not your fault at all. In fact, I want to thank you because if there were no you guys, I would have been killed by that monster."

"You're the one who brought great luck to us, brother. For that, we have to share our profit."

The swordsman took out a pouch from inside his spatial bag.

"There are 100 gold coins in this pouch. I hope, that will be a fine payment for you."

Aaron didn't accept the bag and instead said, "If you don't mind, I'd like to hunt with your guild next time. This Giant Angry Stone, consider it a gift of friendship."

The sword cultivator frowned after listening to Aaron's request. One hundred gold pieces was not a small amount. With that money, Aaron could buy a very good sword. But, how could he refuse it just for a friendship?

"Do you want to join our guild?" The sword cultivator asked doubtfully, he saw that Aaron's level was still at 1. If he had to join his guild, then it would be really terrible!

"No," Aaron denied. "If I join your guild, then you should protect me. But not this, I don't want to be a burden by joining your guild, I just want us to hunt together. That way, you guys aren't obligated to protect me if anything happens."

Hearing Aaron's answer, the sword cultivator was amazed. He could see that there was no ill will in the young man, completely sincere!

Although the world is full of evil, it doesn't mean that you have to be evil as well. Being surrounded by good people was an incomparable gift.

"No problem. We can hunt together as friends. Please accept my friend request so that we can contact each other easily."
