Mission from Sir Janson

"Young Master, are you sure to buy it? This armor is completely broken ...."

Aaron nodded once. That was a sufficient answer. He has to get that armor, no matter what it costs.

But the servant thought otherwise. He thought Aaron was poor to dare to buy armor that should have been thrown away. Perhaps the young man was hoping to get it at a cheap price, or even for free.

With a condescending look, the servant said, "You can get it for 1 silver. But that's not the price for the armor, but rather for my precious time that was wasted in keeping you company. This armor is trash, it should be food for sewer rats, so I dare not put any price on it."

Aaron smiled awkwardly and took out a gold piece. "Although this armor is trash, I still bought it in your shop. Unless this shop of yours is a trash can, I won't take this armor without paying."

Aaron gave his money and took the armor from the waiter's hand. He immediately left the shop, leaving the waitress stunned because she didn't expect Aaron to have that much money. Before intending to throw it away, they sold the armor for only 50 pieces of silver. The money given by that young man was really excessive...

After walking out of the shop, Aaron took a short stroll amidst the bustling market of Gray Stone City. He currently had 1 gold coin and 50 silver coins left.

He intended to invest the 1 gold coin to improve his skills and let his 50 silver coins become a reserve fund.

Right now, there was no benefit to accumulating too much money. Aaron did not want to become a wealthy young master in 'Martial Universe Online'. His goal in playing this game was to pay off all his debts towards the Martial Online Company.

So, the best investment is to improve his skills so that he could kill as many orcs and goblins as possible.

After walking for about 15 minutes, Aaron saw a small shop selling herbs. The assortment of potions included HP-boosting potions, skill-boosting potions, speed-boosting potions, or even soul-power-boosting potions.

Potions were invaluable for players, especially those who chose the sword cultivator and mage jobs. It was a shortcut to improving skills without the need to practice, or recharging HP without the need to rest.

Without hesitation, Aaron paid a visit to the shop. A middle-aged man rose from a wooden chair and greeted him with a warm smile.

"Young Master, what do you need?"

Aaron returned the warm smile and said, "I want HP and speed-boosting potions. But, I don't have too much money right now. Can you show me some cheap potions, sir?"

Before replying, the middle-aged man looked Aaron up and down. The warm smile on his face instantly vanished when he saw Aaron's extremely ugly clothes and armor.

With that appearance, Aaron didn't seem like a profitable buyer at all.

"How much money do you have now to buy my potion?" The old man's words no longer sounded friendly.

"No more than 1 gold coin, sir."

Hearing Aaron's answer, the old man chuckled while shaking his head many times.

"With the money you currently have, you can't even buy my potion even if it's just a drop. Come back next time when you already have a lot of money, or accept a mission from me if you want to get my potion for free."

Aaron frowned when a blade board appeared before him.

[YOU'VE BEEN OFFERED A MISSION!]

[You must help Sir Janson find a Black Dragon Mushroom weighing at least 1 gram to obtain a level 2 HP potion and speed potion. Sir Janson will give you half a speed potion as a down payment. If you don't accept it, you won't suffer any loss."]

Aaron thought for a while before finally deciding to accept the mission later. He could search for the whereabouts of the Black Dragon Mushroom while hunting orcs and goblins.

It never hurts to dive in while drinking water!

"Someone asked me to make a very powerful poison potion. That person, it seems, is going to throw the city into an uproar soon, but who cares? Aren't we just doing our jobs to earn money so we can stay alive in this city? I don't care if my potion will be used to kill the new city official or not. It's none of my business." The middle-aged man told a little story to justify his actions, but Aaron dismissed the story as nothing more than the buzzing of bees.

"I accept the mission, Sir."

[YOU ACCEPTED THE MISSION FROM SIR JANSON!]

[After receiving missions from the community, you must endeavor to carry them out until completion. If you too don't complete the mission, you will no longer gain the trust of the NPCs."]

"Good choice!" Sir Janson laughed loudly and took out a small bottle of potion. "This is half a speed boost potion for you. Don't try to not carry out missions from me, or I'll hire assassins to kill you."

Aaron accepted the small bottle with a wide smile. "Sir, you also don't try to close your shop before I come, or I'll be the assassin to kill you."

The middle-aged man's laughter stopped instantly after Aaron finished speaking. He took a few steps back. Although Aaron's appearance was very pitiful, the young man was still a sword cultivator. Getting into trouble with him was not a good choice.

"I have my word. You have yours. Now go, kid! Bring those mushrooms to me as fast as you can."

***

Ruby Forest, Fallen Star Kingdom, not too far from Gray Stone Town.

A girl who possessed the beauty of a heavenly goddess was seen wielding her sword with very perfect movements. Not only perfect, but her movements were also extremely fast. In no more than ten seconds, she managed to cut off a hundred leaves on a tree without damaging the stalk at all!

Truly a master swordsman!

She sheathed her sword after finishing practicing before another woman approached her. "Miss Leen, that young man is already very close to us. Shouldn't we teleport and leave this place?"

Leen Claudy did not answer immediately, making the young woman who looked like her assistant say again, "Miss, he will not like seeing you here."

"Even if he doesn't see me in this place, Aaron never liked me." Leen now looked at her assistant. "I want to see her swordplay skills. Let's hide."

Her assistant had no other choice, so she immediately looked for a safe place to hide in the vicinity.
