Secret Entourage
Aaron stopped his horse and waited by the side of the road until he saw the group of chariots approaching him. As the distance between them dwindled, a bodyguard at the forefront signaled the entire party to stop before rushing over to Aaron on his horse.

“Young swordsman, could you step out of the way for a moment until our group passes? Not that I suspect you, but I must ensure the safety of my entourage,” the bodyguard said politely but also intimidating.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to join your party.” Aaron immediately conveyed his intentions without further ado. “I can promise that as long as I am with your group, I will contribute my strength to ensure the safety of all of you.”

The bodyguard looked Aaron up and down. His appearance was indeed that of a swordsman, but he looked quite pitiful because of the weathered armor and dull sword. The bodyguard couldn’t be sure whether Aaron had any qualifications with such an appearance.
