New Master

"Aren't you too slow to notice me, Master?"

Well, that's the reaction I expect from my criticizing audience.

The gasps they let out when my after shadow disappeared in front of Athena were filling my ears and my heart. I loved this audience, but they might change sides soon.

"He...produced an after shadow already?" I smirked, bringing my hand down.

Athena turned around, only to find me bowing down to her in a ninety degree angle. To show my utmost respect to my new master.

"I hope I am capable of your time now, Master Athena."

"Yes, you are."

The crowd was dispersing, and the high of the win was slowly melting away from my heart. Looking around myself, I catch the sight of my previous master hanging down from the same tree.

"How did it feel?" The Hawker had said, but I couldn't help but lend my hand up for a high-five with her.

"Felt like real victory, Liz! I'm so glad you taught me that trick! I could use it with the monsters that you told me about!"

"The conscious ones!? Yes!
