The Little Dream

Deryl sat in his oversized chair so confidently, after gaining some valuable knowledge from his trusted employee, Deryl immediately drew one eyebrow perfectly. Fortunately, he had previously attended college so he could quickly understand and comprehend business sciences and so on, even Deryl felt that this was very interesting. While holding his breath perfectly, Deryl raised an eyebrow, a new call was from Mrs. Moe and Deryl didn't know what it was called.

"What's wrong, Mrs. Moe?" asked Deryl who was still checking several documents in front of him.

“What are you working on today, Deryl? Are you busy?” Mrs. Moe asked from across.

Deryl drew one eyebrow perfectly, a casual question that Deryl was sure that Mrs. Moe actually wanted to meet him and as a man who had been helped by Mrs. Moe of course Deryl would agree to whatever Mrs. Moe wanted, taking the time no matter how busy he was. just to be able to meet Mrs Moe of course.

“I'm taking care of some documents, Madam, but just say so if you want to meet. So I will be happy to meet you."

Mrs. Moe could be heard smiling from the other side while Deryl was confused about the meaning of Mrs. Moe's smile.

“You're really busy now, Deryl. I like your enthusiasm and hard work in taking care of all this, you are indeed a great leader in the future."

“A leader without talent? I only have enthusiasm, nothing more, Mrs. Moe.” Deryl really doesn't like being praised for anything because he is still in the learning stage and he really needs a lot of time and the praise actually feels too early for Deryl of course.

“Okay, okay… I know that you are a man who is not crazy about compliments. So I'll just speak frankly to you, Deryl.”

“Say, Mrs. Moe. That would be much better than you complimenting me because I swear that would give me goosebumps.”

"Later at lunch, Serena and I have an appointment with someone who will take care of your wedding. This wedding party must be the most luxurious and lively ever because Serena is my favorite granddaughter and I want to atone for all my sins for my failure as a substitute for Serena's parents. who was unable to make Serena manage to walk again. Serena's life has been so very sad and painful and of course I don't want Serena to feel pain forever, right?"

Deryl, who heard this, finally fell silent, he couldn't even say anything. A grand and lively wedding? Honestly, Deryl hated it, he had failed in his first marriage, so how could Deryl have to start moving forward with such a lively second marriage? Even getting married is no longer something special that makes Deryl lose sleep over it.

However, just like what Mrs. Moe said, of course it was all true. This is Serena's first marriage and all this time Serena has been confined to a house and almost reluctant to go anywhere, living a boring and even monotonous life, what family doesn't want to give a little gift to their beloved granddaughter, right?

“Okay, Mrs. Moe. Just send me the location and I'll follow you when my work is finished."

“Thank you, Deryl. You are indeed the one who understands everything best.”
