" Thank you doctor Rodger," Amy said with a smile.

" I am so sorry. He hit his head pretty hard. I don't know how he was able to recognize this place though. Do you have any business with this man?"

Darius laughed, "Of course not but we are pen for business. I believe him to be a client but I am surprised at the way he kept on ranting about all sorts of things. You had better keep an eye on him."

" We will." Doctor Rodger immediately had Max put inside the van and drove off to the hospital.

Darius watched as the vehicle left his environment.

As Max regained consciousness, he found himself in a room where he had been laid to rest. The clean white walls and the rhythmic beeping of machines surrounded him, but the atmosphere felt surreal. He slowly sat up, groggy from the effects of the injection.

"Where am I now?" Max muttered to himself, his gaze darting around the strange room. The hospital bed, the medical equipment – everything seemed strangely advanced yet foreign to him.

A soft
