Taking the phone away from the man forcefully, Ethan responded to the call and held it up to his ear, his breaths heavy as he awaited in stillness.

When the call had gone on for a few minutes without any words from the other side, the man calling knew that Ethan wasn't dead yet.

“I see you weren't killed again. You escaped death!” His fist clenched as he spoke. He tried his best to act calm, but inside, he was furious knowing that Ethan was still alive.
