Chapter 87:

Waking up, Ethan was immediately welcomed back to reality by the darkness that enveloped the room. He had slept for a long time now, and he didn't notice until his eyes were opened.

He woke up on his bed, his hand reaching and rubbing his eyes gently as he turned to look at the clock that was placed on his nightstand.

“Fuck! How long did I sleep?” He muttered to himself. He had overslept, but one thing was sure: he was himself now.

He wasn't feeling that headache he had before he dozed off, and he didn't feel weak. He felt so energised and willing to do just about anything.

Just as he tried gathering his thoughts, the mechanical voice echoed right in his head again.

[Host has a new task to accomplish, and consequences for not accomplishing the task would mean...]

Just as it was about to lay it bare for Ethan, he snapped, not wanting to hear any of it. Not anymore. He was fine on his own.
