Chapter sixteen

A week and a few days had passed and Authur was planning to go on a business trip to country X.

Ever since the incident with Josephine, Chloe had shown Authur that she was deeply remorseful about all that happened.

She had begged Authur for forgiveness and she had been on her best behavior ever since.

He decided to forgive her, after all, he had made them suffer enough.

Authur saw no need to be harsh to her anymore, he was glad that she realized all her shortcomings and she had promised to change into a better person.

He believed her and took her word for it.

She had shown interest in helping him with his work and her designs had benefited his company a lot.

"I have all the documents ready and I have already packed the bags" Chloe was extremely happy and she gave Authur a warm smile.

"Good! Have you gotten your things ready? I need you to do the presentation tomorrow." Authur casually told her.

"Yes! I will do my best to not let you down" Chloe's heart was paralyzed with happiness.
