Magic God: Techno-Dystopia

"We have arrived... activate the camouflage, Morpheus... the darkness one, we don't want your true face to be seen here..." Null took some kind of weird medium-range weapon with a connection, she walked forward through the door, followed by her twenty units.

<Darkness Mantle>

Using the first tier spell, a mantle of darkness covered Morpheus' body as he followed the V2 platoon.

The flying ship came to a stop near the beach's shore, the sky was already about to darken.

*RUMBLE!*

Flying close to the shore, the compartment opened and gave the corps a view of the entire Brighton's shore, it was a city filled with lights and one could even see lights shining underneath the water surface, indicating the presence of an underwater complex.

"I don't see anything..." that was the Magic God's first observation, as much as he moved his senses all around, he couldn't see or find anything.

"This is cutting-edge technology barrier, it is updated every three years with a different feature, as you know the factors are the key spots where the global energy consumption is located, therefore, it is the target of many organisations that seek to have a free 'cut' of that energy... what you 'see' in front of you is a condensed and pressurised plasma barrier, you won't see it or sense it because it was fabricated with that purpose... there are hundreds of such factories in the world, and most of them are concealed with such barriers."

Null explained, now with a helmet that covered her entire face, she seemed to be checking up her gun as the other 'corps' also made sure everything is working properly.

"Where is the barrier's module?" He assumed this barrier's origin was some kind of 'hardware' that had to be located somewhere... he could disable it with dark magic or even lightning magic, or perhaps he could just wreck the entire thing with an expanse spell.

"The barrier's modules are located inside, after a particular mission in Germany, we obtained one of the barrier's entrance codes, there is a possibility that it won't work as the code is from three months ago and it might be deprecated, it that happens... we're counting with you, Mr God" even though he couldn't see her expression,  Morpheus could almost sense her smile.

"Just like that?"

Quite dependable ain't it?

"Just like that~"

"..."

"You're free to try whatever method you desire to test, but bear in mind that whatever you do, will immediately trigger the emergency alarms and our position will be uncovered... this barrier extends through a perimeter of ten kilometres, and they realise exactly from which coordinate the disturbance came from..." The lady kept explaining the stakes.

"..."

"Are you ready? you're not talking much..."

"What is your plan? and why are we so casually flying around here if it is as secure as you said?"

"This chip is able to inhibit electromagnetic signals, network signals and visuals, we can stay here for twenty minutes before our presence is discovered, as for my plan... I'm just explaining to you what's going to take place because the gap of action we have is short... once we're ready, V2 is going to start hacking the barrier... if it fails, it will trigger the alarm and we're counting on you... if not... then the chip will be able to sneak seamlessly inside the barrier as the gap is going to open in this coordinate."

"Hmn" He nodded in acknowledgement.

"Once infiltrated, we're heading to the barrier's hub to disable it and allow the ship to provide aerial support, you're following so far?"

"Huhumm..."

"... afterwards, I don't know... our first objective is to reach the data centre, we don't have a schema of the facility, so we're going to have to look for it, the last objective is to plant the bomb in the main reactor... if everything is okay, then by tomorrow you and I can have a tea in stardust~"

"Sounds like a plan, where is the bomb?"

"You don't have to worry about that." She answered quickly and focused on the 'barrier'.

A shockwave suddenly spread through the entire shore, originating from the sea as Morpheus could finally see a slight wave of light spread through the 'barrier' moving all the way to the sea... this forcefield is gargantuan.

'I have failed, they were expecting someone to use the code after all... we're on our own, I lost connection with the Metropolitan Servers...'

His and Null's gazes clashed at that moment as the latter prepared her gun and got in position as if saying 'we are counting with you, tehe~'

*SIGH*

"I don't know why I was expecting this, Null..." He rubbed his forehead as the alarms started to trigger in the nearby city of Brighton, obviously, they were already discovered.

"Because you're a God and have a lot of wisdom? I'm counting on you, Mr God, show me your 'might'~" despite the ridiculous situation they were in, Null seemed to be rather confident in his abilities.

He has already used a 2nd Tier spell and many first tiers... with the next spell he's going to use, it might leave him just enough energy to use two more first tiers before his magic is depleted and he needs to regenerate.

That didn't mean that he couldn't defend himself... there is a lot more to his repertory than just magic spells.

"It's going to be your first time, be grateful that you don't have a stomach."

"The first one of all our first times, hopefully. Take this..." She giggled and took something out of her attire, it seemed like a small device that fits in her hand.

"What is this?" He took

"It's a communicator, put it inside your ear... it's going to get noisy in there and it would be catastrophic if we can't communicate. In order for a couple to understand each other, communication is needed, right?~"

"Your shameless flirting will get you nowhere, lady..." Morpheus' six wings extended to their furthest extent, shining in sacred blue light as he joined his palm and locked on the 'targets'.

*PA!*

The two palms clashed and released a slight wave, one that seemed to travel briefly through space.

"..." Null paid extra attention to all of her actions, but no matter what she did she couldn't sense anything, that was until a sudden pressure seemed to envelop her shoulders, a ridiculous one as her senses didn't detect any change of weight!

*RUMBLEE!!!*

The moment a 3rd Tier spell was activated, the entire world seemed to shake, because this is not just any law, this is the primal omnipresent law that spreads through the entire universe, control over it was only reserved for divine beings.

A foreign aura that she wasn't able to sense, enveloped her, the twenty corps and even the entire ship.

Right at the other side of the barrier out of totally nowhere, a gigantic ship appeared in a spatial wave.

The facility was gigantic, all things considered... Morpheus noticed that it had been a camouflage outside of it all along, it's a facility that extends through at least ten kilometres, with several buildings and internal facilities.

This thing is a city in itself!

The ship kept floating with its anti-gravity generators, but Morpheus had to hold Null as her body slumped forward.

"Are you okay? Do you plan to raid this facility with just twenty units?! I'm starting to doubt your 'otherworldy logistics!" He yelled in outrage as he held Null's body against his chest.

"... We-have a... God." Perhaps the redundancy left her circuits at this moment.

This person might be a God or not, but he's definitely not human or machine.

'We lost connection momentarily, I'm in local... we're inside!'

'Ridiculous... what did he do?' Null held onto Morpheus body as she regained her 'bearings'

'I don't know... it looks like some kind of teleportation measure... begin the operation! the ship has been locked by the defence protocols, I'm engaging.'

[Target: enemy lock-on measures]

*WOOSHHH!!*

As if in cue, a barrage of missiles started to be shot from the ship's cassettes, flying straight through the skies and impacting what could be recognised as Antennas!

Morpheus saw how several robot-like 'thingies'  produced forcefields near to the ship protecting it from two missiles that came from who-knows-where!?

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMmm!!!!-

More and more 'things' kept getting fired away from V2's chip that had immediately engaged against the facility's internal AI!

"Let's go Morpheus!" Null jumped the ship together with eighteen of the corps, the other two stayed with big long-range cannons, intending to cover from behind.

"This is quite interesting indeed~" He jumped behind her, as of now he'd have to use other means of offensive other than spells, his six wings extended as he intended to follow behind her and cover.

As the twenty-two figures fell from the skies, the cannons all over the city began to rotate and shot beams at them.

Null and her companions proceeded to do evasive measures while Morpheus leisurely covered himself with his wings as the beams impacted against him, doing nothing except for a heating sense, a unique warmth that enveloped his sacred multi-coloured wings.

'There are a lot of metallic elements down there, just what I need...'
