A fight's conclusion

When he could open his eyes again, the dragon noticed that he couldn’t see nor feel anything. It took a few seconds for him to regain his mind, and when he did, he remembered what happened.

‘I lost?’ He realized, disbelief clear in his dim eyes.

“Finally woke up, huh?” He heard the voice of that human, laced with sadness and… a hint of frustration. “Damn… you sure is amazing, you know?”

“What does that mean?” He wondered, feeling annoyed at the mirth chuckle he received as answer. “I still lost… in the end, all my efforts were meaningless.”

“Meaningless… you could say that…” He heard the sound of the human sitting down across from him. “Or you could believe that I cheated my way out of a loss… I mean, at the end of it… I don’t remember much, except for a burning sensation on my reserves, then a huge explosion, and finally, waking up yet again.”

“…”

“Cat got your tongue?”

“Shut up…”

“Heh, whatever… either way, I won and you lost… but that doesn’t invalidate your efforts.” He whispered
