A mother's memories, part 2

The swamp looked oddly familiar to the third floor, the only difference was the silence.

No sound was made, no life was there to be seen.

Kay eyes drifted towards the rotten corpse, her flesh cut to the bone. He also noticed the man, crying over that body, holding her with tender and grief.

Kay understood what he was seeing.

“Everything about him and me… you could say it started on our childhood, but… the turning point was here.”

“What happened?”

He felt a wave of anger, foreign to him, taking control of his mind, until it washed away, a deep numbness corroded himself.

“A envious wife.” Was all she said, before returning to the history lesson. Ley was about to be taken away from her by his friends when a mysterious person appeared before them.

It looked like an ordinary old man, but Kay knew better.

He had the same feeling that Long had, mixed with that of the two-headed blacksmith.
