The Dragon Slayer, part 4

Kay eyed the dragon, the despair slowly taking over him. There, in the sea that was created, he felt like he was face to face with a god.

Long slowly begun to descend until his feet touched the water surface. Then, Kay noticed the ice that was slowly expanding from there, taking over the surface.

"Fuck." He begun to swim away, desperately holding into any hope to still survive. He forced more strength into his legs and arms as the cold slowly approached.

In his mind, a million images begun to play. Images of his childhood, and the scarring pain that came with them.

"No… Mother, no!" He cried out, the cold completely encapsulated him, only letting his head out. "Please… I'll be a good boy… don't… punish… me…"

He fainted as the cold crept in his bones…

Only to feel something warm enveloping him.
