It took 3 whole days for Kay to make some progress while feeling his Qi. After that, it took him over a week to actually learn on how to use the energy in his spells.

"Faster!" His mentor screamed, making the youth wince. It took at the very least 10 seconds to cast a single spell this way. The process of casting was easier when he simply burned through his reserves, but now he had to feel the vibration and then calculate the exact percentage of power he was going to expend on both Qi and Jing.
