Dream watched everything that happened from the live feed, and he was most pleased."Very good. These soda cans are rather capable. But we're not done yet. Launch the fusion bomb."[Understood.]With the order, the railgun alternated its hatches and inserted a bomb about the same size as the soda can. Once it was locked in, the railgun only had to charge a little bit before sending the payload. These bombs weren't kinetic based, so they didn't need atrocious speeds. The reason why Dream decided to launch a bomb on top of the kinetic round was that many of the demons were still alive. Only the weaker demons class 2 and under were killed, and class 3's and up were able to survive it.So he sent in another bomb to wipe the floor.[Launching.]*Dsh*The railgun launched the bomb, hardly creating any light or arcs of electricity. It seemed very ordinary and unimpressive compared to the kinetic round.Bu
After bringing up a few dozen animals around the class 3 level, Iris quickly got used to finding and eating souls. But just a measly few dozen wouldn't be enough for her. She wanted not only more souls, but stronger souls. In fact, she told Dream that she wanted to try and get a class 4 soul.So after finishing up all the animals Dream brought for her, Luna and Iris left the station and flew down to where their parents were. They were close to leveling up, and with Iris's bottleneck broken through, they wanted to quickly get to their class advancement.Although Dream thought it would be nice to go with them, he actually had some things to do in the station, so he stayed. One of these things was checking out the two massive cores from the United Empire. After Dream had stolen the crystal heart, the entire United Empire was thrown into a bout of chaos. While the ordinary citizens didn't really care much about a drop in mana density, th
Meanwhile, as Dream was preparing his soldiers, Arrina and Mara were huddling together miserably in the corner of a prisoner cell. They weren't the only ones either. In just this cell there were over 200 people, and the demons had a dozen more cells just like this one. They herded them like sheep and didn't care at all about the fact that nearly everyone was wounded. If it weren't for the fact that there were a few healers in the cell, several people would've already died.Mara was one of these healers. In fact, she was one of the best. Because of that she was treated a little better. Not by the demons, but by the other prisoners. Instead of being cramped, she was given a bit more space against the wall where she could rest easier. And right next to her was Arrina. After receiving Dream's teachings, Arrina was able to rise in power quicker than she had ever expected to. She could cast spells with ease, learn sequences many times faster than her peers,
After Mara and Arrina were carried off by the bots, they were swiftly transported through the stronghold.Along the way, they could see the corpses of all the demons that had once guarded the pathways. There were hundreds, and almost all of them were class 3's. The girls were shocked, and they truly wondered how powerful these humanoids carrying them were. After many twists and turns they eventually ended up exiting the stronghold. They proceeded out into the wide open plaza, the entrance to which was a gate. And up in the air, they could see a shocking battle. The sky was blazing with dark bloody fire that blocked out the sun. The pressure coming from that fire was immense, though not as immense as the pressure coming from the people within that fire. They could see 10 people. 7 were demons, one was a fox, and the two others were human. The fox was the one bellowing fire, and one of the humans, a woman, was releasing ice lances from a distan
Both girls were giddy as they showed off their liquid mana. Dream was also excited. Although he had seen them use it some during the battle, he hadn't been able to get a close look."Very cool! I can't say that I'm surprised though. You were already only a few levels away from both your advancement and skill maxing. If you didn't get liquid mana from that, I would be surprised.""I know, but still. That battle with the 7 demons was enough to get my level up, getting me to S tier, and those captives were enough to get my skill maxed. The liquid mana actually helped with maxing the skill, which was nice. And since Luna's skill has already been maxed, we're both good to go. Although...""What?""Well... Our advancement only allows one choice.""Really? I mean, I also only got one choice. Kind of. But I'm surprised it was the same for you guys. What is it?""Mine is called [Spectral Annihilator]. I think it's a nice name."<
After spending a few hours recovering, Dream got back to work. The particle dome and solid mana was only the first part of his plan. He had two more parts, both of which actually revolved around himself. If he wanted to help them, then strength and ability was his foremost guarantor. The solid mana that he made was actually going to be used by both himself and the girls. While he recovered, Iris had already done some tests and successfully converted the solid mana to her own, confirming his assumption that she could use it. As for himself, he was planning on enchanting his body using the solid mana.Putting it simply, he was going to form himself a core! While it's known as a core, as per Dream's plan, it was going to be a full-body enchantment. Not only that, he would convert the liquid mana pathways going from his body to soul into solid mana pathways. That's how Riddick described the advancement process, and while it was usually extremely
Although Dream's soul opened up an area for the skill, the shell wasn't the only place that the Hierarchy skill would occupy.Dream knew how complex the skill was. He could tell by how long it took Sophia to modify it. She's never had so much difficulty before with any other skills. But now that she had totally modified it, it was time to actually give Dream the skill. And knowing how extensive it was, the skill would have to not only occupy space in the shell, but the space in between the shell and the nucleus. With this, there would be 3 layers to Dream's soul. When Sophia got her hands on the data for a skill, she could do three things with it. She could either write a new skill to Dream's soul, hold the data for the skill and do nothing or mess with it, or integrate the skill with another existing skill. Unless she did either the first or third option, Dream wouldn't gain much from the skill data. For the most part, whatever skills Dream got would be thrown into one of his three m
Although Dream and Sophia were working with Aegis's skills, it didn't take nearly as much of a toll as it did when working with his own skills.Even when Sophia was writing the entire Nexus skill it didn't take a crazy amount of energy. Although he was tired, he still had around 40% of his energy left afterward. And the reason he was so beat when connecting the skill was because of how he had to cut strings. That wouldn't need to happen this time though. All Sophia needed to do was edit strings and add some. Both processes were easy, and it only took half an hour for Aegis's skills to be totally revamped.Once they were, the power of the heart coursed through its new skills, stabilizing them and activating them. The first thing Dream noticed happen was the stealth activation.Once Aegis's stealth activated, the heart alongside the blood vessels seemed to disappear from the 4th dimension entirely. The only reason Dream knew they hadn't was because he could sense them through the connec
