And having been prepared for this, they were quickly distributed.In the Mercenary Empire, the Emperor had given bracelets to everyone from the top of the hierarchy down. This meant generals, admirals, politicians, government administrators, class 3 combatants, and more. Everyone was quickly given a bracelet, and they didn't have to worry about somebody important not getting one since there were a few hundred thousand that came in.This was what happened for the other Empires and Church as well. They gathered everyone and handed out this technology, which upon being equipped, would carry each person through a profile setup.This profile setup took everyone's name and assigned them a number. Dream and Idona didn't need to walk through the forest for long before they began encountering life.In fact, it was only a couple of minutes before they had walked up to the 'gates' of their city."Halt!"Dream and Idona were yelled at as they walked up to a huge natural barrier. This barrier was a 50 meter high wall, and it was made entirely from living wood. The trees seemed to reach out between each other and connect, forming this wall of wood."This cannot possibly be natural."Dream came to this conclusion as he scanned the wall. It spanned for miles into the forest, and he was pretty sure it surrounded the city around the Tree. There was no way he would believe that this just happened to grow like it did."Elves have some powers that can control nature, almost manipulating it. These walls were built after the elves came and modified the trees for this very purpose. You will see lots of these kinds of constructions instead of the normal dead wood housing as in the human Empires.

After following Idona up the Tree for nearly 1000 meters, they finally came to a massive branch extending off the side.This branch was partially modified so as to accommodate many buildings, and inside these buildings, Dream could sense many people with class 3 auras."So this is where all the powerful people live. They can allow for entire communities to be built on top of them. But of course, they still need the resources of below to operate. Food and materials can't be harvested on a wood branch." The amount of energy flowing through the place was far higher than they could imagine, and if it weren't for the reactor technology Dream recently developed, he wouldn't be able to expand his processing facilities so much.After admiring the sight of huge machines and metal processing, they arrived at the storage room.
