My strength… is half of what it used to be. It’s been too many days. I lost track of them. I still haven’t eaten anything. I don’t want to recover my mana, because I believe that if all of my blue mana is cleared out, then I would be able to tap into the black mana pool that I have.

Though since the first time I thought of this already has been more than several weeks.

I have used up almost everything and I feel like I’m about to collapse. My body feels weak. I’m reinforcing myself with mana so I can keep on walking.

Last time I drank water, I noticed something strange… My eyes. I’m like a vampire. They are red.

I know that they used to turn red before when

“Amryr, which is the closest town in this direction?” Andrey asked the boy who had cried out all his tears and simply followed along his savior now."Behind those mountains ahead”, the boy pointed forward, “East-City. It’s the nearest city. I know because daddy used to go there from time to time.”Interesting.“Oh? Your daddy went to the city? What for?”This family seemed like outcasts. Literally. They hunted for food; they chopped trees for warmth and went to the river for water. What could have the man done in the city?“I don’t really know. He never told me. He would be away for a week and then come back. Just as smiling as ever…” t

  • Makiya   206. Onyx of Oasis

It was less than a few kilometers out of the east side of East-City where the bandit crew led Andrey and Amryr into a cave.Just a few meters after entering it, there were strange symbols drawn on the very cave, signaling that it was bandit territory.Andrey only observed and moved along. He didn’t feel threatened by those weaklings. Amryr observed everything with huge interest, as he had never been at such a place before. He knew there were caves, but never really got inside one. After embracing the coldness that a cave had to offer inside it, the group was met by a few bandits who stood guard. They recognized the bruises on Scar - the bandit who first raised a hand against Andrey. The guards let the group pass and enter deeper into the cave.

I see. So he is more than meets the eye… But that’s not really a surprise. I expected this.It seems he doesn’t know that my mana is halved, or at least not yet. Perhaps he might think I am conceiving it.Onyx squeezed Andrey’s hand considerably hard and pulled it to the side in an attempt to dis-balance him. The leader’s right hand was already flying towards his opponent’s stomach, but as he thought the hit would be successful, Andrey had already a plan behind this. From the palm, Andrey released a burst of mana that would serve as the recoil from when you fire a gun. This concluded with a powerful slap across Onyx’s face. As for the incoming attack towards the black-mage’s stomach, it was hi

‘Oh no, that’s the same ability he used on Devil to defe-’ Onyx realized as Andrey’s arm reached his head, but it was too late. The last thing he saw was the dragon marking on his opponent’s palm. A white flash filled Onyx’s eyes, and just a second later, he could see Andrey walking to him. The black dressed mage came out of the darkness and spoke, “This world. The main event is a game. A game of balance. You give, you take. You take, you give. Or something gets taken from you. These are the fundamentals of the game’s rules.” “Why… are you saying this to me?” Onyx asked. “This is a world I created especially for you. Feast your eyes upon it.” Andrey replied. They shifted to Sanctuary. The location seemed bigger. It was filled with different magical orn

Bursts of slashing flames threw bodies in the air, most of them burned to a crisp. Onyx couldn’t control his powers at that point. They consumed him, and lucky is what he was, that the blades drained out the mana directly as he generated any to his arms. Otherwise, he would have self-destroyed.A double-edged blade. That’s what mana and magic is, although the two swords - Red Flame and Stormwind - were the perfect remedy for this. What would have been Onyx’s demise was now the peak of his power and battle capabilities.Fifteen minutes later, the smell of burned flesh had filled the cave. Onyx was breathing heavily as nobody was charging at him anymore. Nobody was left to do so.Only Z watched from a distance.

/the letters written in italic in this chapter will be the first person perspective of Amryr/ It took a while, really. Lord Red Eye empowered almost all members of the organisation. Well, the ones that survived, that is. Most failed the initial intelligence test. Those who failed it simply died. Their bodies turned to ashes or they bursted. Some were also crushed by this epic power that Lord Red Eye has that manipulates people’s bodies. I don’t know how he does it, but it is definitely a power one would lust to have. Those who lived through the test and got empowered are the official and only members of Red Eye Organization.

  • Makiya   211. The Old man

Amryr had already spent a few days in the Migigaia Wastelands. Still completely confident in his survival, he spent a lot of time writing in his diary. He would sometimes go back a few pages to read a story he had already written, or he would write a story he had forgotten to write down.“Eh… Seriously?” The black-and-white-haired boy hissed, eyes looking at his pen with annoyance, “Did you really stop working now?! In the middle of the desert!?”He threw it angrily forward. His strength was so great that his eyes couldn’t track where it went.“Well, fuck. Now I completely failed.” he snapped his finger nervously, then smiled as if the best moment of his life had happened, “Actually this is a great motivation! I can&

“You said you used these chains to immobilize your demons. You survived through the ritual… Old man. Where are these demons of yours?” Amryr’s voice spoke lowly.“I…” As the man was about to reply, although with visible hesitance, the black-and-white-haired boy interrupted him,“Where is your family, Old man?”The Old man’s left eye ticked. The painful answer that his mind automatically generated was the reason behind his now narrowed eyebrows and deep sigh.Amryr then continued, “The black magical ritual wasn’t caused by the virus, was it?”Old man breathed in deeply and spoke, “You are quite more than what meets the eye, boy. • 261. The game begins

Conjured by nothingness in the air, five cards appeared, twice the size of a human. The terrain reshaped and all of a sudden, it appeared that Andrey was standing in a theater. Looking around, he could see many empty seats, but more importantly, the scene was incredibly vast. The things that were easily seen were a well in the middle, a tower next to it, a few chairs along with a wooden table. They seemed rather medieval and old, but that seemed to be the idea behind the whole game. Playing a medieval role in a theatrical scenery. “We already started!? How about you tell me what the game is about first, eh!?” Andrey shouted, his eyebrows narrowed due to his annoyance. • 260. Inner World-Shell

Besides the sound of an incoming wind torrent, Andrey appeared like a black thunder, piercing through the clouds, right after jumping off from the conjured black-and-white tower. After restoring his vision past the clouds, he immediately navigated at the ancient human, who was patiently waiting in his cradle. Swinging just slightly. A massive barrage of a hundred walls of rock erupted from the ground, creating a mighty shielding to protect Golehanei from the incoming battle-mage. The rumbling noise in addition with the ancient being’s impatience slowly arising worked as proof that Andrey had been passing through his defense effortlessly. A sword landed right next to the ancient’s throat. Stopped not by Andrey’s will, but instead by the incredibly precise and strong grip of Golehanei’s finger tips.

Andrey put on a little smile in an attempt to mock the man, who claimed to be greater than them. “Does the superior being deal with conflicts with force or with wisdom? Time we found out, I say.” He expected his taunting words to provoke the being, and at least see an eyebrow get narrowed, but instead Golehanei spoke calmly. “Young Andrey Makiya, when wisdom finds its end, the forces of power take over. Such would seem to be the case, descendant.” A fist coming straight at Andrey’s face was immediately countered as the red-eyed battle-mage deflected the incoming knuckles by punching his opponent’s arm in the triceps with an upper-cut. Although unexpected, suddenly Golehanei forced his arm downwards, overpowering the fist, in an attempt to strike Andrey’s head, as if to slash it with a blade.

“Dea’n’ha!” Andrey startled at the sorceress. “Y-yes!” She replied in a frail voice. “Can you communicate with this golden-dressed freak!?” Dea’n’ha lowered her head and spoke. “I can only convert information with my Abyssal Crack magic… I can’t really drain the language abilities out of it. It’s like attaining something from the void.” “Tsk.” Andrey clicked his tongue and looked at the buffed, half-naked man, who had only black pants, golden belt, and a golden collar that went all the way from his neck to covering half his back and chest. The ancient human had a golden ring on his left pointing finger, and dark brown leather bracelets with gold imbued in them on both his wrists.
