Marcus and Hazel quickly ran to Ivy, and Marcus raised her up from the ground.

“Ivy, are you okay? Are you hurt?” Marcus quickly checked his hands and legs. Even though Penelope hated Marcus so much, she still has a soft spot for Ivy; she is her beloved granddaughter. She was also standing close to Ivy, ensuring she was okay.

The rest of the family didn't do anything; they all gazed at Marcus, seeing him in this pain gladden their hearts.

Lady Charlotte doesn't care if Ivy

lives or dies; she isn't one of them. The daughter of a bastard can't answer the family name; it's better she is no more. That would allow Hazel to come back to her senses. Ivy nods her head.

“Yes, I'm okay, but my hand hurts.”

“Let me see.”

Marcus quickly took a look at Ivy's hands; it was just a little scratch. Penelope and David look relived. Marcus can die, not Ivy; they should kill Marcus instead. The bastard is useless.
