Chapter 97

Ivy heard what everyone was saying, but she seemed not to understand their words. She knows everyone is mad at her dad, including her mom, but she isn't going anywhere without seeing her dad. Ivy started struggling with Hazel more, and at the same time, she uttered

“Mommy, I want to see my dad. Is Daddy okay? Let me see Daddy.”

Hazel wouldn't keep hold of Ivy anymore; she had to carry her down. She bent close to her with tearing eyes.

“Honey it's okay; you will see Daddy next week.”

Ivy saw tears in her mother's eyes as she walked closer to her and put her hands on her face.

“Mommy, why are you crying? Did something happen to Daddy?”

Hazel knows it's going to hurt Ivy when she finally divorces that beast; he's not worthy enough to be called a father. It's for Ivy's own benefit; she will get used to it as time goes on.

“Daddy is busy; you will see him next week. Come, let's go.”
