Ben was more annoyed than he had ever been his whole life. What could have made this guy believe he's able to enter this place, he wondered. “If you do not leave here now, I really am going to call security on you.” he said to Marcus. “I'm still going to stand by what I said. My father can not be wrong. The worst case scenario is that he works here.” Marcus said. The more Ben looked at Marcus, the more irritated he got. He did not believe Marcus's father even had the qualification to work here. Ben decided to call the security. He was sick of the sight of Marcus. He wanted him to remove Marcus from the area. He turned around and walked back to the gate of the palace. “Sorry to bother you Mr Huncho,” he said, after checking the name tag on the security guard's cloth. “But there is a beggar at the entrance claiming his father invited him here, he has been disturbing the peace in the area.” “He likely cheated his way to get into the estate.”
Ben thought Juliet must have been joking. His face told a lot of stories. He did not want to believe what he heard. He couldn't. How could a man looking like this be related to the Krafth's. Ben thought about it again. He realized he had not heard a reply from Juliet. She just stood in front of the beggar worth her back to him. Ben waited for her to talk before he pounced on Marcus. Marcus moved in to hug his sister, after all it had been for, he saw her. Huncho, seeing this rushed in. His head was pumping with all the anger he could muster at the moment. How dare this beggar have any thoughts on his young miss, he thought. He promised himself to teach him a lesson today. Huncho moved as fast as he could. In fact, he believed he moved faster than he had ever done. He had to beat up this man that dared touch Miss Juliet. He did not want to listen his job. Huncho liked the lifestyle that came with being the security man of the Krafth famil
What is going on, Marcus thought. Can this even be true. Marcus had been looking into space for a while. If what his sister said was true then, he did not even know what to believe again. Juliet had been staring at her brother since she finished explaining to him. She could see different emotions pass through his face since she stopped talking. Juliet could tell one thing for certain. Her brother was angry. She had kept tabs on Marcus since. She knew what he had been going through. About the bullying and beatings and every other thing. She knew about how his boss at work decided to discredit him and even later beat him, because of the project he submitted to him. She was also angry for him. Juliet knew Marcus did not deserve all of that. When she first got to know about her family's wealth, she had begged her father, times without number, to call her brother home. She was denied every single time. She later understood that there was no possible
A lot of things had been going through Marcus's mind. His life that was about to change, how to prove to others that he was not a lazy person and also how to take revenge on others that bullied him. “Juliet,” Marcus called. “Yes, brother.” “I think, I want you to hide me from the world.” Marcus said after thinking for some while. “What! What do you mean brother?” Juliet was stunned. Any random person that they were worth, personally, over a trillion dollars, would be so happy to let the world know. In fact, they would even flaunt and show off not only themselves but their money also. Marcus laughed. “I don't mean it like that. I want you to hide it from the world that the company's heir is back.” Juliet looked at her brother once again. How did her usual brother get this thoughtful and smart, she wondered. Juliet could not disagree with this idea. It had more advantages over disadvantages. Not only for the company , but also for Marcus. The
Mr Luiz smiled. He couldn't agree more to the suggestion Marcus gave. He knew tomorrow would be so embarrassing for Marcus. The more he thought of how bad Marcus would look, the wider his smile got. Chantelle noticed how wide his grin was. She was concerned, but she still stood her ground. What both of them did not know was that Marcus was less than bothered about what would happen tomorrow. In fact, he could not wait. He could not wait to see all their expressions when they found out. He felt so at ease. Is this how it feels to be rich, he wondered. It's true what they say then, Money does solve every problem. Mr Luiz stood up, still grinning, “it's time for me to go. Marcus, don't be late tomorrow. We all can't wait for how you'll apologize tomorrow.” “Alright then, Mr Luiz. My husband will be there tomorrow. I'll make sure of it.” Chantelle said. Mr Luiz marched to the entrance, with Chantelle in tow. “Goodnight,” he said. “Goodnight to you too,
“A man's knee is made of gold, he must not kneel for just anybody”. Marcus suddenly remembered one of his father's favourite quotes. Marcus lay on his side on the floor after he was pushed to the floor. His eyes were spitting fire. He looked up into the eyes of Mr Luiz. Mr Luiz shivered slightly. He always felt something was different about Marcus, today the feeling became more real. Marcus stood up. He turned to the back at his assailants. He noted their faces. They were two of his staunch haters in the factory. Marcus started laughing, loudly. He kept laughing for a while, which made everyone at the scene wonder if something had happened to him because of all the bullying he faced. “Was he running mad,” Mr Luiz wondered. “You, you want me to kneel to you and apologize,” Marcus said. “I have not done anything wrong to you or to anybody in this factory. I was even beaten just the other day over a project I submitted that you and your friends are pl
Mr Luiz and his friends started remembering every other occasion they bullied and fought Marcus. The most recent, of course, was just a few days ago. Dominic remembered how he spat at Marcus. Espinoza and Burn remembered the kicks they gave him. Luiz of course remembered everything. How he wanted to cheat Marcus out of his project. He remembered the first time he laid his eyes on the project that Marcus submitted to him. He had left it over and only picked it up some days after. When he had time to calmly scan it, he was shocked by what he saw. Mr Luiz did not want to believe that Marcus could think of such a thing. But, deep down, he knew Marcus was quite capable. He remembered Marcus's qualifications when he was looking to get a job in the factory. He was shocked, because Marcus was overqualified for the job he wanted. Marcus could have, in fact, applied for the job of the manager with his qualifications. When Mr Luiz found out that he had been sacked consistently and c
“What goes around, comes around.” This was another quote Marcus remembered his father saying, consistently. His father had always been one to quote words to him and his sister. They had mostly shrugged off most of them, but most had likely been imprinted in his head and they started coming back recently. Marcus felt like someone who had just caught first breath and life after being hatched from an egg. He felt new. He knew he had changed. The old Marcus carried around a lot of hate and revenge energy. He had always fantasized about when his story would change, and he would take revenge on everyone that bullied him. Now that he was in that position, he realized that, all that had happened, helped to mould him to the man he was slowly and surely becoming. The man that would take over the Krafth empire and lead it to newer and greater heights. After Marcus told the crowd, with Mr Luiz and his friends what he wanted from them, he turned around and
