Chapter 124

Everything Zeke was thinking about had seemingly flown over his head at that point. The persistent and repetitive sound his steps were making helped him to concentrate and hone his mind. He was going to pass through this meeting with Natalie without making a fool of himself.

He knew this was a good thing. Now, he was more calm and not as worried as before, as he stepped over and stopped at the front of her office.

He got to Natalie's door and knocked lightly. He heard that sensual voice that had once been a joy giver to him, “Come in," she said. Zeke opened the door and walked in calmly.

Zeke opened the door and looked up. He saw that same face that had caused his heart to flutter once upon a time. She was looking straight at him.

That beautiful face, though older, but also more mature. Her beauty has not decreased at all. In fact if anything, age had just served as a way that had served to increase her beauty.

Natalie had a slight smile on her f

Now, all what she was still saying were things she could still remember from what she had learnt back then. She started feeling pretty relaxed and chatty with Zeke as she used to be in the past. However, she suddenly remembered something important which she immediately placed on the forefront of her mind. It was not to allow her mind to wander about while chatting with Zeke after all these while, and also not to lose herself since she had him in her office for strictly professional reasons. Zeke had also easily relaxed into the discussion with Natalie. It had been a long time since they talked so it seemed like he had forgotten how easy it was to talk to her. In fact, he had forgotten why he liked her in the first place, but this served as a reminder. Even though it had been a while since they both talked, they found it easy to ease into their conversatio

Chapter 126 After learning about most of what had happened, Juliet sat in silence for a while, then she had asked Natalie a very funny question. She said, “Natalie, out of everyone you talked to personally, who do you think is the most likely to be the spy?" Natalie was shocked when she heard this question. Her mouth was left open for a while, and she did not know when, but she had put her hand on her head, as if in retrospect of what had happened during the day. Her brain went through all the meetings she had today, and details of each of them played back in her head including the one she had with Zeke. She could not bring herself to put up names for Juliet. But after a while, she did. There were some people that just seemed out of place and frankly, they acted quite suspicious when they were talking to her. After thinking for a while, she named the people she thought could be the spies. Of course, Juliet listened in silence. She was also a very smart woman.

Chapter 127 The memo that was sent to them by their own spy at Oscorp lay in front of Juliet. Of course, it was not sent immediately when he got to know who the spy was. Oscorp has been really security alert of late. He also did not understand why. But, that just meant he had to be more careful before he was able to send out the memo, and he was finally able to do that after two weeks. Juliet picked the memo up. She had opened it up, with Natalie in front of her. Natalie was trying to tell from Juliet's expression who the spy was. But, she could not tell at all. She saw Juliet pause as she read the name on the memo they got. It seemed like it was a shocking name, however Natalie was still uncertain. Natalie wondered who it might be. She could not read much from Juliet's facial expression. It was the pause that was mostly prominent.natalie just kept silent. She wanted to ask, but did not want to seem impatient. She knew she would find out the name really soon, sh

Chapter 128 Zeke was the last person Natalie could even think of, who would do something like that, and now this had happened. It was almost unbelievable to her. She sat in silence, her brain trying to process what she had just seen. Because of the silence in the room, it somehow sounded like her head was an engine. Cog wheels were moving around in her head in the silence. Sounding as fast and loud as the silence allowed. Juliet sat with her in silence mostly focused on how she was processing it. How she felt and all. It was a while before Natalie's eyes came back into focus, as she was lost in her own world of imagination. After a while, Natalie looked up from where she stood. She had not sat down since she got inside Juliet's office. She was standing up when she got inside the office, and had been waiting for Juliet to check the memo then pass it over to her to check who it was, or just tell her who the person was. Natalie had not for once thought about the pos

She steeled her mind and said what she thought about. “You've forgotten about the other workers who would be locked in the department with him too. This would likely not be exactly suspicious to Zeke actually. Even though we do not know what level his paranoia has reached. But, I don't want to set off any other person in the company. Especially if there is another spy there when we are taking Zeke in.” Even if they had caught the high ranking spy in the headquarters, they could not be so certain there was no one else that was a spy working under Zeke's department. "I think we can still make use of Zeke when we arrest him,” Juliet said. “We just have to make sure no one else knows of it, so it would not be known to Oscorp that we know about him, and he would just be our own spy.” Natalie heard what Juliet had said, and again was astounded as to how smart

Chapter 130 Natalie's head has been bent over ever since she heard what Juliet had started asking of her. It seemed like she was pondering on whether she would be able to do it. She had no doubt she would be able to convince Zeke to work for the Krafth again. The problem was that she had to let go of any previous relationship they had, and even the one that seemed like it wanted to start budding up. Natalie could not deny it . She was sure Zeke would also be unable to deny it too. There was something between them. This spark. It made it so that even though they had not talked in a very long time, they still both felt connected. Thinking about it now in retrospect, Natalie could not really understand her reason for trying to stay away from Zeke in the past. She remembered it though, she had to stop seeing him in the office because it made people look down on him more at that time. He has just become the head of his department, and there were still talks of ne

Even if she did, she realized, as long as it was not life threatening or something that would make him handicapped , to her it seemed quite justifiable. “Young miss, when do we start with the plan?” Natalie asked. “The plan, even though it would seem short, is not going to happen in one day,” Juliet started. " I know this might not be a good idea for you, but I know how professional you are, so this should not be a problem for you Natalie.” "What you have to do is to slowly get him to drop his guard around you. Talk to him more, and when the spark has definitely been fully ignored, just wait for him to ask you out on a date. Once he does that, we are over halfway done with the plan.” “Now, I need you to understand that you are not meant to push him. It must come out of his own will, and I'm sure it will be really soon. So, all you have to do is play al

Her eyes were not focused and it seemed like she was staring into space. She had her hand on her chin and rested forward on her desk. Thinking of the possibilities that could happen instead of the one she wanted. Juliet was not exactly a religious person. In fact, her family itself was not exactly one. But this time around, she had hoped and prayed in her mind for the completion of the plan according to the way she wanted it. She could not help but remember her brother. He was alone in Edinburgh now. His wife had betrayed him and was now with another man. She wondered how he felt. Though she had sent a woman to him. This woman was his secretary. Not only was she professional, Juliet was also sure her brother was not the type of person who would do something like that. He has been without his family for most of his

Marcus understood that she did not want to ask Kevin present, just in case there was something Marcus did not want him to hear. “It's alright Belle. Kevin is my lawyer and he's going to be the one representing me in my divorce case, that is happening today, and it is where I need to be first.” “How about I drop you off at work and we go on to the court and we would meet you back at the office when we are done?" Marcus asked. Deep down, he knew Belle would not choose to do this, instead she would want to follow him for support or whatever else she deemed appropriate, but she still needed to ask. “Young master, I'd like to go with you to the court, and from there we can go on to the factory when the case is over at the court,” Belle said. Marcus was right. He knew for sure this was what she would say, and he was in no mood to argue with anyon

    Chapter 147

Chapter 147 Marcus slowly drifted off to sleep, after thinking about the next day for a while. His room had a soundtrack of crashing waves that had been installed since they built the hotel. When Marcus found it some weeks ago, he had started using it, and it worked really well for him. Before, Marcus had found it quite hard to sleep off, but with the soundtrack of crashing waves sounding, he found it easy to sleep, and that was what he had started doing. Marcus slept off before he knew it. The day had not been as long as it normally was, but he needed that extra rest for tomorrow, and he was not feeling too hungry before he slept, so he just chose to go ahead to sleep. The clock in his room’s slow and consistent tick was the only reminder that time was passing really fast. The blinds in Marcus's room were so thick that it blocked off the light even during the day, not to even talk about the night. After a while, Marcus had woken up. He picked up the remote on the

He rolled his eyes in the dim lights of the room, as he moved and his shadow long and dark moved along with him. It was a mesmerizing sight for anyone who could see it. It was just that no one would have the pleasure of doing that. But that was not what was on Marcus's mind. He rolled over to the end of the bed where he had dropped the phone, picked it up and looked at the name of the person calling his phone. It was Luiz. It seemed like he had completed his task, Marcus thought. He hoped Luiz had not done too much and gotten caught. Because if he had, he would have made Dominic aware of the fact that they already knew he was a spy. The task he had given Luiz was fairly easy. He had been asked to follow Dominic from far off and not make him aware he was being followed. The key thing they needed to know was where he lived and ascertaining the presence of

Kevin peeked from the back of Marcus and greeted the two ladies, to which both of them bowed their heads slightly. Being respectful to Marcus because of his identity also meant that they had to be respectful to his friends. Especially this kind of one that he brought to stay in the hotel with him. Mel and her partner nodded their heads. They knew what to do. So, they prepared a suite just like the one Belle was still staying in. It was the topmost grade of suite in the hotel, and only reserved for the most extremely famous people. Even if you had the money, you would not necessarily be able to get into this kind of suite in the hotel. It also had a limited amount, so it got quickly exhausted. Though Kevin was not really famous, but, since he was recommended by Marcus, the receptionists knew to give him the best type of suite they had. They promised to prepare one for h

    Chapter 144

Chapter 144 He had never mentioned anything about his father, and his friends did not ask either. Now, Dominic was back inside his house and he could not hear any sound at all. Not from his mother or even from his sister who would reasonably be loud due to the fact that her brother had gotten back from work, even when it was this late. But nothing of the sort seemed to happen. It was just silence throughout. Luiz was however satisfied with himself. His job in following Dominic was to find out where he lived. This was what Marcus had asked him to do. He did not want to be seen as doing too much, in case he got caught. Beaming with satisfaction, and after waiting for over ten minutes, he started walking back to where he had parked his car. Luiiz was walking in places where the light was not too bright. He did not want to take a game of risk regarding people in the community. He did not want them to be suspicious since they had not seen him in their neighborhood well. T

Chapter 143 However, it was just the paranoia. It made his behavioral pattern compulsory.Dominic could not take any chance. He still wanted to see his family. He hoped they would not be killed, and the only way for him to preserve their life was to do what was asked of him and not be caught. Immediately he was caught, he would be useless to the people that were using him and they would not allow his family to leave since they also were of no use to them. Dominic understood this, but this was still not something he could bear. Luiz had started getting quite impatient as Dominic had kept on stopping, and now this was their fifth stop, after going round this same neighborhood for the third time. He wanted to drive away or maybe even drive up to Dominic and ask to go to his house. But this was not the sensible thing to do. It would ruin the plan Marcus had made and would literally just be counterproductive. This was not something Luiz wanted to see happen. So,

Chapter 142 However, even when he was accosted by Burn, Dominic did not want to head in the same route as his boss and the people around him. It would not be a good thing for him, if he was caught that night and they started asking questions that might lead to him confessing. He had tried to time himself exactly well, this was why he had decided to go with Burn, to the place he had always parked before. When Burn asked him the question, he quickly feigned as if he forgot where he now parked and blamed it on forgetfulness. Burn's car was parked at the farthest side of the park, and by the time Dominic had started walking back to the place he parked his car, Burn had started his car and was already driving towards him and then outside. So, he had chosen to go with his friend Burn for now, and when both Marcus and Burn's car had left the park, he would go to get his car. He also looked around and saw two cars drive outside the factory. One of them looked like Espino

Chapter 141 Dominic took in a deep breath and exhaled. It seemed like no one had noticed him. What he did jot know however, was that Belle had noticed him, and not only Belle, in fact Marcus had noticed him. But, Marcus was really smart and sharp. Immediately he noticed it, he was sure of what he had seen, so he quickly took his eyes off him. He did not want to spook him off, so he just looked elsewhere. It was quite lucky that Dominic was more concerned with himself at the point where Marcus was looking at his expressions,so he didn't see Marcus looking at him. In fact, he believed that nobody else saw his reaction. Marcus had come to a conclusion deep down after this issue. He was now fully sure about what the unknown spy had told them. Marcus has been keeping the information the spy gave them at arm length. Even though he wanted to believe it fully, it was not that simple. What if the person was pretending to help them, and instead use this opportunity to infi

    Chapter 140

Chapter 140 Marcus did not know exactly why, but he felt safe around Kevin. It felt like Kevin was a guy he could confide in, and that was exactly what he did. He told him a lot of things he would not have otherwise told someone he was just meeting. Marcus told him about the bombing that had happened in the factory. He told him about the clues he had found, and about the person that seemed to be helping them from the inside of Oscorp. Though they did not know who exactly the person was, he was helping them regardless, and everything he had clued them on, had happened exactly how he had said it would. Marcus shared a lot of things with Kevin, and they talked till the end of the day. They did not know when time flew away and it was time to go home. It was after this discovery that they both stood up and went out of his office. Of course Belle was ready to leave. She on the other hand had been curious through the day, and had monitored the time through the day, wai
