Chapter 22

I shook out of the memory and tried to regain consciousness of the environment I was in.

"Liam?"

Liam smiled as if he had won. "Yes, it's me. I was sent to comfort you in your trying times."

He had the bravery to take another step but Elliot wouldn't let him go past that. "And you left?"

Elliot was obviously confused about our conversation, hoping I wasn't hypnotized cause I acted like one. He wasn't taking any chances of letting me go towards him.

"I was called from above. Every angel has to obey the call." He walked closer to us.

"Stay back, Liam. I'm warning you," Elliot growled.

Liam looked at me. "This is your last chance Alexandra, come to me."

"And what makes you think I will? I will never go with you!"

Those last words rang a bell in Liam's head. He tightened his fists. "I was afraid you'd say that."

Liam ran towards Elliot to give him a blow but Elliot and Lexa teleported from the mansion to a large dark unused forest.
