Chapter 24

Lexa's POV

I had a terrible feeling about staying outside. It felt as if every evil spirit in there was watching me. I had no control over my magical powers and Elliot wasn't by my side, as much as I wanted him to be. I felt like a naked girl in the middle of Timesquare.

I needed somewhere to hide. I looked around me and found nothing. The trees weren't going to be of much help. I was afraid of walking into the darker part of the forest, especially when I was an angel, but it was the only choice I had.

I left the ruins of the cottage and the spot Elvador once sat and went towards the inner part of the forest. It was darker, eerie and more concentrated with evil spirits. I could hear their cries and feel the pain of many lost unsettled lives.

I had a feeling that once I entered, there was no coming out.

I took my chances and pushed my way through the thick barks of the trees.

My goal was to find somewhere safe and not too open for anyone, specifically Liam, to carry me away in a breath
