Chapter 71: Prepare an old car for me.

Jowley didn't know why Alex wanted to meet Chief of Police Jayce, but it was Alex's order, so he followed. Jowley's working principle was that if the boss said something, he would only ask a few questions.

"Yes, I remember," Jowley said and left.

Alex thought it would probably be around noon or the afternoon before Jowley could arrive. After all, there were many things to handle at the police station, and Jayce was only sometimes available. However, to Alex's surprise, just about thirty minutes later, the receptionist called and informed him that Jayce had arrived. Alex was slightly taken aback.

And not even five minutes later, Jayce was in Alex's office.

"You're back already? It's fortunate that you're safe and have accomplished what you wanted to do. I wanted to contact you and ask how you were since yesterday, but your assistant said you were resting, so I didn't disturb you."

As soon as Jayce entered Alex's office, he spoke with a face unable to hide his joy. Seeing everyone carin
