ch2 Investation

-Adrien's pov:-

I woke up to sunlight entering my room via my unclosed window. Apparently I forgot to close it last night.

I hadn't quite found the energy to get out of bed after a minute of ten. I just stared at my roof still thinking about the inviting part.

I found my phone on my desk and checked my inbox immediately. I had a single notification from James.

"I'm on my way, rather you like it or not." Said James's text.

"Uhm okey sure, I'm home the entire day so that's do-able, see you soon!"

As soon as I have layed my phone down I have forced myself to get up to take a shower, maybe that'll awake me properly.

I turned on the shower so it could heat up whilst I'm getting ready.

I undressed myself out of my pyjama's and felt the temperature of the water. "Ouch!" I yelled out as the hot water burnt my wrist. I quickly turned the heat down and waited patiently for the water to cool.

I stepped in the shower and took a quick shower.

Although shampoo had gotten in my eyes it felt very good to shower in the early morning

I got out of the shower and dried myself with a random towel I found laying around.

I dressed into some jeans and my own hoodie.

After, I got to my living room and made myself some breakfast. Nothing special just some cornflakes.

I finished my bowl and put it down in the sink, I'll wash it when I feel like it.

Suddenly my task came back to mind. New Day, new chances, right?

And then it hit me. "Mill!" I yelled before rushing over to my pc and pressing the 'turn on' button a minimal amount of 13 times, the computer finally turned on. I typed in my password and started discord.

I called Millie and waited impatient for him to pick up. I waited and waited but no respons.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed my phone out of my pocket. I quickly dialed his number and called him from there.

"What?" Said Millie.

"Hey Mill!" I yelled knowing I didn't have enough energy to be this energetic.

"Why are you calling it's seven in the morning?"

"Yes I know but this is important. I'm planning on going camping with a group of people and I want you, no I need you to come."

"Seriously Adrien you couldn't have waited for two hours to ask me?" He asked with a cracked voice, I have woken him up haven't I? "I'll see what I can do for you Adrien but I'm not going to promise anything okey?"

"Yeah no sure, sounds great!"

"Now if you wouldn't mind I'm going back to my peaceful sleep."

"I really mind that Millie." I said, I knew I literally couldn't care less but I just wanted to be funny for a moment.

"Yeah okey goodbye." Said Millie whilst hanging up the phone.

Normally shed always be the most sweetest girl you'd see in your day. She was shorter than a regular person but boy she is stronger than she looks. She has such a sweet personality, she'd die for her friends, honestly.

"Well that's settled." I said to myself.

I knew Tom and Silas had planned on meeting up, if they were already with each other it would be like hitting Two birds with one stone!

But seeing how it went with Millie I should wait for a bit.

A knock came from my apartment door, James is here.

I opened the door and let him in.

"You wouldn't believe who I stumbled across in the train!"

"Who?" I asked curious.

I saw Lola and Jasper standing in the hallway to my apartement.

"Oh hi! I didn't see you." I was stunned for a second, I did notice Lola talking to me but I was too distracted to hear what she was saying.

"I'm sorry I didn't catch what you said." I said.

"We're not staying for long, Jasper and I just thought it was nice to drop by since we were so close anyways."

"Awh that's really sweet of you thank you." I said letting them inside.

We entered my living room and everyone sat down on the couch apart from me.

I sat down on the backrest of the couch and saw 'that' stare on James his face.

I did know what he meant with his stare so immediately got to the point.

"So, I'm not sure rather you watched my stream yesterday but I'm going to give my viewers a reward once they reach my new subgoal and I've decided to go camping with some people. And I was thinking on maybe inviting you." I stopped to let them process my chattering.

"I'm up for it!" Said Jasper.

"Sounds fun but I'm not one hundred procent sure rather I'll even be able to come but I'd do anything to be there, does that sound okey to you?"

"Yeah no it definitely sounds okey, I'll just see what I can do for you to make it easier to come."

"Thank you." Said Lola smiling.

She had such a nice smile and amazing pale blue, or is it green eyes? She also had beautiful blond hair with pink strikes through it.

And Jasper his hair is curled and brown. He has amazing brown eyes but is also really short. I'm guessing we're talking about a four foot ten here.

Time flew by and Lola and Jasper had already left.

It was just me and James.

"I can look if you can stay for the night?" I offered.

"Yeah sure that sounds nice, I don't have anything prepared with me though."

"That's fine you'll be able to borrow stuff of me."

It was only afternoon yet but it seemed like the day was already almost over.

"I am running short on food so we might need to visit a store."

"That's fine, we'll need to do some shopping for that camp anyways cause looking at the progression of your subs it look like we'll be camping very soon!" Spoke James whilst smiling.

"What?" I asked confused. "I haven't even been live." Even though I didn't believe him I decided to still check my sub counter.

The bar was halfway filled up?! With a tad of luck I could make my goal with a single live.

"Yeah let's visit a store." I said getting up from the couch it's backrest.

James followed with a grin on his face.

We took the elevator down my apartment block. Luckily I had a grocery store around the corner so we wouldn't have to drive anywhere.

"How many people have you invited so far?" Asked James a little too curious.

"Uhm around six or seven, I've lost count. I've invited you, Warren, Walter, Millie, Jasper and Lola. And if you count myself in that's a solid amount of seven people. I wanted to search contact with Tom and Silas but I didn't wanna bother them in the early morning."

James nodded. "Good job Adrien, I'm proud of you."

On my face was zero expression to be seen but I did really appreciate his words. "Thank you."

He brought out his smile. "No problem."

After that it was awkwardly silent, to be fair we were there in less than a minute so it really wasn't that bad.

Once there we filled an entire shopping cart with jerry cans, two gas bottles, food, drinks, some random stuff we'd probably use on that camp and not to forget we also bought my groceries for the upcoming week.

"That'll be three hundred and forty five dollars."

"Pin please."

James held his card against the paying mechanism and it worked.

After getting away from the checkout we realized we didn't think this through. We haven't brought anything to carry our stuff home.

And carrying it with just hands would be a awfully painful task.

"How are we-"

I didn't even let him finish. "I don't know James."

I sighed deeply. "I'll get my car just wait here with that cart."

"Fine see you here then."

I rushed out without saying another word. This is not exactly what I had in mind thinking about a short store visit.

It was eleven o'clock. Would it be polite to be calling at this time of day?

I guess I could?

Once in the car I clicked my phone onto my dashboard. I twisted the key to start the car and it worked first try this time!

I called Tom and started driving. On a roundabout a 'hi' coming from my phone startled me, oh yeah I had called Tom.

"Hi." I said trying to communicate but also paying attention to the traffic.

"What's up? Is something wrong?" I heard Tom ask.

"No, no nothing's wrong, is Silas with you?"

"Uhh, yes he is why?"

"Can he hear me?"

"No but I can put you on speaker if you'd like.

"Yes please." I said almost hitting the car in front of me.

"Okey, he's able to hear you."

"So I've been planning on camping, I'd love it if you guys could make it there."

It went quiet for a few seconds.

"We'll be staying together for the upcoming days and have nothing really planned apart from streaming so I think we're free." I heard Silas say.

"You don't wanna know how much that means to me!" I said filled with excitement. "Oh yeah I had another question, do you guys have another idea on who to invite? I'm hopeless at this point."

"You could ask Esper or Elijah, I'm sure they're up for it." Said Tom.

"Or jack, he's a pretty decent person too." Spoke Silas.

I couldn't forgive myself for not thinking about them.

I pulled up to the grocery store and claimed the closest parking space.

"Thank you for helping but I gotta go, see ya." I said hanging up and stepping out of my car.

I noticed James already coming with the shopping car.

I opened the trunk of my car and waited for James to be here.

Once arrived we loaded everything into my car drove back.

It was a hell carrying everything to my appartement but it was doable.

I flopped down on the couch and decided I'd be done for today, maybe tomorrow I'll do a stream with will and invite the last three people.

I'll see what I can do, besides, I have James now, what could go wrong?
