His face was void of any welcoming smile, he couldn't believe how trashed he was treated even though it was expected. He regretted the day he made Tristan's life hell, but it was time to move on and wait for his final results.

"Excuse me, sir?" The clerk disrupted Paul's train of thought, causing him to face her instantly while wondering what she wanted from him.

"You have to sign before you leave sir." The clerk added with a smile.

"Just look at her smiling," Paul thought, but he couldn't stop someone from smiling because he didn't get the job he hoped for.

He walked up to the desk and signed where she showed him, and before he could leave, she handed him a letter with a smile.

"I'm looking forward to working with you, congratulations sir."

Tristan raised a brow wondering if the clerk had gone insane, or was mocking him to make matters worse.

"What do you mean?" He asked, but the clerk did not respond, she only gave him the letter and with a smile she said.

"Have a nice day sir, and
