As soon as they made up their minds to go in, the massive gate that they were looking at suddenly opened up for them.

Zhu Lian and Xiao Bilan looked at each other and nodded their heads. Then they went in.

Immediately they passed through the gate to appear at the outer courtyard of the shrine, the gate behind them closed back. While the outer courtyard began to tremble as if something, like an entity that was primitive and disastrous and resided far below the solid brown earth that they stood upon, had suddenly woken up.

However, the trembling of the outer courtyard stopped some moments later, then Xiao Bilan and Zhu Lian who felt that something wanted to break out of the earth to fight them, heaved a sigh of relief. At first, they thought they were going to fight some creatures when the ground started shaking, but as soon as it stopped with nothing emerging out of the ground, they couldn't help heave sighs of relief.
