Chapter 5

Third person POV

Poseidon, in ancient Greek religion, god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. He is distinguished from Pontus, the personification of the sea and the oldest Greek divinity of the waters. The name Poseidon means either 'husband of the earth' or 'lord of earth'.

Traditionally, he was a son of Cronus and of Cronus's sister and consort Rhea, a fertility goddess. Poseidon was a brother of Zeus, the sky god and chief deity of ancient Greece, and of Hades, god of the underworld.

When the three brothers deposed their father, the kingdom of the sea fell by lot to Poseidon. His weapon and main symbol was the trident, perhaps once a fish spear. According to the Greek poet Hesiod, Poseidon's trident, like Zeus's thunderbolt and Hades' helmet, was fashioned by the three Cyclopes.

As the god of earthquakes, Poseidon was also connected to dry land, and many of his oldest places of worship in Greece were inland, though these were sometimes centred on pools and streams or otherwise associated with water.

Îñ ôłÿmpûš [a few hours before]

They were welcomed to Olympus by the elevator opening before the sisters. One was scared on was determined, I think you could guess which ones. Olympus looked like a world for people with wings, not gods.

The hallway they were standing on was huge. There were no windows because they weren't inside. The looked across the pillars to see Olympus in all its glory, though they didn't see it as glory.

They saw it as a nightmare.

They were summoned to Olympus by Zeus himself. The sisters didn't know what for, they always thought Zeus would keep away from them considering the circumstances their in.

Shoes clicked as the sisters walked to what they imagined as the gates of hell.

Obviously they could have chose not to come but they wanted to see what the great 'god of gods' wanted from them. Maybe an apology for what his brother did ..... yea no. It was such a mystery, but one they would solve.

Soon they were In front of the throne room. The doors were so huge it looked like a giant could walk through. Stheno pushed the doors open without any warning or knocking, Olympus didn't deserve the luxury.

There they saw the rich, cruel, egotistical beings sitting on their thrones like they rule the world, which they technically did. They walked until they were in the middle of them all, both stheno and euryale looked around.

They promised themselves, when they get the chance, they will destroy this throne room bit by bit until there is nothing left. Hatred noticeable in their eyes, the gods saw it and weren't surprised considering two of them hurt their family.

Zeus looked down upon the sisters with a glint in his eyes that they couldn't put a finger on. "Gorgon" Zeus spoke first. "Zeus" stheno answered back. Zeus raised his chin higher for some unknown reason.

"Why'd you call us here" euryale got straight to the point. Zeus hummed and sat back on his throne "well don't you wanna catch up a bit" he joked with a smile. The gorgons sneered not liking what he was doing.

His smile suddenly disappeared and he became serious again. "We need you to give up on what your trying to do" he spoke, his voice breathy. Stheno tilted her head to the side almost mockingly "what" she scoffed out.

"Your mission to find Medusa's descendant" he answers her. Stheno only scoffed at the words, not believing what she just heard come out of his mouth. But whilst she was calm her sister was fuming from the words the spat form his mouth.

"What" euryale suddenly spoke out lowly, the coming a close at the end. She was shaking with rage .... and sadness. She looked up at them with fury and rage burning in her eyes, she was shaking from head to toe.

"Do you know what Poseidon did"

It was silent when she spoke, which only made her words hit harder. Stheno stayed silent, not wanting to interrupt her sister in this heart breaking moment.

"He raped her"

It was like she was lying but her voice was so low and quiet. Tears were in her eyes, not of sadness but of anger. Her voice was shaky and breathy, like she was air. "Poseidon wouldn't do suc-" Athena tried to speak but was interrupted.

"He raped her!" She suddenly yelled staring at him dead in the eye. Then her eyes turned to Athena "and then when he was done, you punished her for it" her voice cracked at the end, her breath caved in as she clutched her heart.

Stheno wrapped her arms around her sister pulling her into a hug. The crying was truly heart wrenching, it was loud, he voice cracking at every sob, stheno glared at every one of them, if they were on Poseidon's and athena's side then they were all enemys.

"We are finding her descendant, and when that happens ..... you guys will be punished"
