#Will I have an editor/ a CE if I apply for a contract?

Yes. The person who sends you the offer will be your editor and your only editor in MegaNovel, and you can ask him/her anything regarding your book or your contract.

# Can I sign different types of contracts for different books at the same time?

Sure! We sign one contract for one book, so you can sign different contracts for different books with us at the same time.

# How long does the contract application take?

It usually takes 2 weeks to 1 month to response your application. We're very sorry about this, because we're having a lot of books in the system waiting to be reviewed. If you didn’t receive any reply email over 1 month, please contact this email(contact@meganovel.com) to tell us.

# How do I know if I get rejected or not?

If we think your book needs improvement, you will receive a "Closed" notice on your book info page, stating the reasons of rejection so that you can improve accordingly. However, it doesn't mean that you can't apply again. Good luck to you!

#I applied more than a month ago, and I know that my book is not rejected, but I still haven't heard anything. What should I do?

Please check if you have filled in the wrong email address in your application, or check the spam box in your mailbox. In most cases like this, the email got to the spam box so you didn't see it. If you're sure you filled in the right address and you didn't get anything even in your spam box or trash box, please email contact@meganovel.com, or get in touch with us on F*, I*******m or discord.

#Can I ever get out of the contract? Is it true that I will never be able to lift the contract once I sign it?

Of course, not true. You can void the contract if you meet the requirements stating in the contract. However, signing contract is a serious thing with legal effect, so we suggest you to read the "termination" part of the contract carefully for details of requirements and think through it before you sign the contract.

#I received an exclusive offer but I want to change it to non-exclusive, what should I do?

Just tell your editor by replying the offer email and he/she will help you with it.

#I received a non-exclusive offer but I want to change it to exclusive, what should I do?

We have higher standards for exclusive book, so usually when you applied for an exclusive contract but get a non-exclusive offer, it's because we think your book needs improvement and is not to the standard of an exclusive contract.

You could ask your editor for suggestions of improving the book, or you could sign the non-exclusive first and wait for a chance to change to exclusive in the future.

#I have never signed an online document before, what should I do? Is it legal?

Yes, it is legal once we have sealed our stamp and you have signed your signature on it. Please make sure that the signature is signed in a way you usually sign it. Also, don't forget to let your editor know after you have signed the contract.

Don't reply to Hellosign's mail because the editor won't receive it. Hellosign is just the online document service we are using. Reply to the editor who sent you the offer.

**Important notes: If you are under 18, you need to sign multiple times because there will be extra agreements needed to be signed. If you get 3 mails from Hellosign, it means you and your guardian need to sign all 3 of them.

# Is there a requirement about book covers?

You can design your own book cover(s). But please make sure you're not using the pictures without the artist's permission. Also, please avoid using book covers that is too "sexy" or too bloody/violent because it may get rejected when we review the book cover.

Also, we suggest you to use pictures with real people instead of pictures of illustration or nature scenes, because we find that most common readers prefer book covers with real people from our previous data.

Hi, our fellow writers, as you all know by now, MegaNovel expects novels within the genre of System, Urban, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Adventure, Games, Paranormal, Mystery/Thriller/Horror, etc. Usually, novels with a MC who experiences a major character growth throughout the story and including elements like leveling up, weak-to-strong, face-slapping will be the most popular ones on our platform. For male genre novels, the leading character usually is a man. It’s easier for the readers to empathize with a MC who is of a same gender. The most important note to remember is the MC must focus more on empowering himself instead of only care about being involved in any romantic relationship (unless he does it for face-slapping or he cares about improving himself equally). Tone down the romantic side of the story, the novel must not be all about falling in love. Here are some examples for novels we do or do not expect:<

How to Design the Plot Framework of Urban Novels

✅ 1. Complete plot structure - Cause, Process, Climax, Ending ⭕️ The Cause - is the starting point of the conflict, while the process and climax are the situations we need to describe emphatically. ⭕️ The Process - is when the main character is insulted or looked down upon, which is a concentration of negative emotions. ⭕️ The Climax - is the situation that main protagonist turn the table, which is the outburst of positive emotions. ⭕️ The Ending - is a brief introduction to the end of the story and the beginning of the next episode. When we design the story of the first paragraph, we need to understand why we are designing such a story. In other words, we should figure out what kind of plot we want to write, and then design stories that slap one’s face around that plot.>>> For example, In book “The Charismatic Charlie Wade”,- The Cause of the conflict: His aunt in a welfare house falls ill and needs treatment, so the MC asks his grandmother for money.
