Chapter 13

    The sun popped its head out of the sky and glow luminously on the busy street. Helen sped up down the road and swiveled to the right, overtaking cars, and violating traffic rules. She planned to lodge in the Rockstar hotel, in the placid city of Maryland. Glancing at the rearview mirror to make sure that nobody was pursuing her. And every time, different cars with different colors were there.

    

    “... I want war.” Energy flow to her hands and feet as anger bubbled in her heart, and she slammed on the gas again. Jerking her Jeep to a quiet street. Speeding up into the open air of Maryland. What the hell, Jack called himself? Can he stand my war?

    

    Those thoughts buzzed in her mind, nourishing her anger more than before. And once again, she looked in the rearview mirror and saw a black car speeding up towards hers. She slowed her Jeep down, checked the mirror again, and the car
