Chapter 2

Dason still looked stunned and furrowed his brow because he did not understand what the last message meant.

"Mission? From whom?" asked Dason, still looking at his cracked phone screen.

Dason still seemed to wonder why he had to do it. After all, he was still confused about how he could get the 100 thousand dollars. Even though he never participated in a lottery.

"What is the purpose of this person having a mission?" Dason muttered again.

"Two days? What will the money be used for?" Various questions flashed in his head.

Then he remembered Corvin, his friend, who was in trouble with debt.

"Oh yes, Corvin! I have to help him immediately. I'll think about the mission later," said Dason, who immediately ordered an online motorcycle taxi and headed to his friend's boarding house.

Along the way, Dason was still thinking about how he could find out where the money came from.

"I wonder who sent the money?" asked Dason in his heart.

Getting off the online motorcycle taxi, Dason hurriedly headed to Corvin's boarding house.

When Dason arrived at Corvin's boarding house, he saw several burly people intimidating Corvin and urging him to pay off his debt, or they would beat him up. Meanwhile, Corvin seemed to be sitting and hugging his knees in the corner of the narrow boarding room.

"Hurry up and pay off your debt now! Otherwise, we will beat you to death!" shouted the debt collector while pointing at Corvin's face.

Meanwhile, Corvin was sitting in fear.

"I don't have the money to pay, sir," Corvin replied in a voice that trembled with fear.

"If you don't have the money to pay, don't dare borrow!" the debt collector shouted back.

Because Corvin insisted that he didn't have the money, the debt collectors were furious. Dason saw one of the debt collectors already raise his hand in the air to beat Corvin.

Bught! Bught!

Dason jumped into action, beating those people until they all collapsed. It just so happened that Dason was good at martial arts, so it was easy to subdue some of those people, even though their bodies looked huge with bulging muscles.

"Thank you, Son; you finally came too," said Corvin, who was surprised when Dason beat the stiffly muscled men so easily.

Some of the men looked weak and unable to resist Dason's strength.

"Tell me! Who told you to do this?" asked Dason sternly while glaring. There was a frightening flash of anger in Dason's eyes.

The debt collectors looked at each other and looked down. They were terrified to see Dason.

"Tell me quickly! Who is the mastermind behind this loan application?"

"Don't you protect me, or will I report you to the police?" asked Dason to those who seemed to be very scared.

Dason continued his questioning about where Corvin should go to repay the mounting debt.

Finally, one of them mentioned Gaston's name as the mastermind behind Corvin's debt problem.

"Call him!" Dason shouted.

With trembling hands, the man called Gaston and explained that Dason would talk to him.

"I will pay off Corvin's 800 dollar debt!" said Dason after the phone call was connected to Gaston.

Gaston, who had long hated Dason, asked Dason to come to a fancy restaurant to prove his words.

"Alright, wait, I'll be there!" shouted Dason, annoyed.

He then ordered the debt collectors to leave and forbade them to come back again.

"Don't you ever come back if you don't want me to break your legs!"

Dason again ordered an online motorcycle taxi to take him to the restaurant that Gaston had mentioned to him.

Gaston was the arrogant man who had been chasing Audrey, Dason's wife. Gaston had heard the news about Dason being kicked out of his wife's family home, and he immediately insulted Dason rudely, in front of everyone, when Dason entered the fancy restaurant and stood in front of him.

"Attention everyone! Let us welcome the Edwin family's greatest son-in-law, Audrey's husband. Just this morning, he was kicked out of the family for being a nuisance. And now he's hobbling around this building looking for a bite to eat," Gaston shouted to be the center of everyone's attention.

"And remember, Dason, debts must be paid in cash; I don't accept installments, especially with dull money from begging!" said Gaston arrogantly.

Dason chose to remain silent, not intending to reply to every insult that Gaston gave him. Because his purpose here was to pay off Corvin's debt to Gaston.

The restaurant was apparently having a party attended by important people in the city, especially successful businessmen. Gaston himself was there because he was the only son of Richard, one of the most successful businessmen in the city.

All eyes looked at Dason to make sure that Dason was indeed the son-in-law of the wealthy family. They couldn't believe their eyes when they saw Dason's shabby appearance.

"This morning, he was kicked out by his mother-in-law because he was just a trashy son-in-law and not needed in the Edwin family.

"What's even sadder is that Audrey is still a virgin! Because she doesn't want to have anything to do with a smelly, trashy man like him!" Gaston continued pushing Dason's shoulder roughly.

Everyone in the room had various expressions looking at poor Dason. Some were pitying, and some even mocked Dason like Gaston.

"Yes, obviously Audrey doesn't want it; it smells like this. Audrey died from holding her breath," said someone whose name Dason didn't know, but Dason would remember his face.

Gaston seemed to laugh in agreement at the answer of one of his friends.

"Poor Audrey," Gaston's laughter could no longer be contained.

Dason wanted to kick Gaston's ass, but he held back. He just wanted his business with Gaston to be over quickly.

"Patience, Dason, hold your emotions," Dason said in his heart.

Gaston was still yelling insults at Dason without anyone stopping him, and everyone seemed to support what Gaston was doing.

"Now, tell me your account number. I will immediately pay off my friend Corvin's debt!" Dason shouted, glaring at Gaston.

Gaston's laughter echoed in the restaurant.

"Don't be a dick, Dason; do you know how much Corvin owes me?" asked Gaston, clucking in front of Dason's face.

"Eight hundred dollar, right?" asked Dason flatly.

Gaston laughed out loud again when he heard Dason's answer.

"I will prostrate myself at your stinky feet if you can pay off Corvin's 800 dollar debt, Dason!" shouted Gaston, still with laughter decorating his lips.

Plak! Plak!

Dason was finally provoked, and he slapped Gaston so hard that it caused a five-finger stamp on Gaston's face.

Everyone in the room looked gaping in surprise at Gaston, who fell down holding his face because he was unprepared when he got slapped by Dason. They didn't expect Dason to have such courage to slap Gaston's face.

"Now what if I can pay ten times what Corvin owes you?" Dason asked Gaston.

"Hey everyone. Look at this trashy son-in-law; he's even dreaming of being able to pay off Corvin's debt and have it raised ten times. Like I said before, I'll prostrate myself at your feet if you're able to pay it off." Gaston shouted in front of Dason's face, and even Gaston's breath hit his face.

Dason raised his voice again.

"Give me your account, and keep your promise to prostrate at my feet and lick my feet!" shouted Dason, who was now the focus of all the guests in the restaurant.
