“Are you two okay?” Elyenora said, looking over them from above with her usual grin.

“Ely?!” Mon’Ter stared at her with eyes wider than an open door.

“What! Princess Ely, how did you get here?” Leonidas instantly rushed to try and get to his feet.

“Ah! Gramps, calm down!” and the princess hurriedly sheathed her rapier and tried to get ahold of the elder. She grabbed him by the sides and attempted to keep him up as he was still quite wobbly from exerting himself so much.

Leonidas grasped her by the shoulders as he managed to balance himself, then looked at her straightly so that he could speak with at least a semblance of strength behind his voice. “How can you be telling me to be calm! You’re here! Much less than just being awake and moving around, you even saved our butts! Hahaha! Oh by the gods! You don’t know how happy I am to see you!” he hugged her, tightly as he could, eve

Within due time, all four of them awoke in the room of serenity’s midst. Mon’Ter was the first to rise up, and the first thing his eyes met with was a rather familiar man dressed in quite the lavish clothing attire. “Ah, it seems my tall gold mine has awoken from his slumber!” the man clapped a few times with his hands. “Rise and shine then, up you go,” the pope, George, spoke with a hint of sarcasm to his voice. He seemed to be enjoyed the trade-in goods Mon’Ter had given to him as payment for the spell he’d used to help them. “Tell me, did things proceed as you’d planned?” “I believe so…?” Mon’Ter said, a tad wobbly as he sat up and supported himself with his arms. He glanced at his three comrades who were currently still laying down. Still worrying, he furrowed his brows in silence as he waited for them to move as well. And slowly, Leonidas nudged his eyes open and rose up to a sitting position. Though he looked to be in need of holding his head, as visibl

Hours later, after Elyenora and Samuel had woken up from their long stupor, the four party members found themselves sitting in chairs around a table as Pope George waltzed around left and right with his hand on chin, seemingly in a deep muse.“Considering everything you’ve told me,” Pope George said, “we can’t have your brother continuing any further with his plans than he already has, princess.”“That is why I believe we should land a decisive strike as quickly as possible,” Elyenora said, lightly tapping the table with her fist.“Indeed,” Leonidas nodded her way. “That child doesn’t get what he’s gotten into, working with the remnants of the dragon cult will only result in trouble for the nation, and he certainly won’t be accomplishing much in the military aspect like he hopes to. If we don’t get to him now, it will be too late by any other time.”“Yeah

  • Mon'Ter   Chapter 188: Meeting up with Randus and Sereia

It only took a little longer for the party to finish their conversation with Pope George. They agreed that he would arrange for his holy knights and paladins to be at the ready for a climactic battle in the case of the Dragon Cult’s forces returning, whenever and if they made an appearance in the capital. As for the main party of four, they went back to the mage’s guild through their allocated to Anabas city gateway. Through there, it was more than easy to return back to Weylorn, and in the confines of the Lioncrown Gaia manor’s grounds.“Finally back,” Samuel mumbled out as they got to the inside of the manor, they found themselves in a rather dark room, though there were many bookshelves around and some other magic items and that sort of nonsense.“Yeah,” Elyenora mumbled back. “It’s still hard to believe that Weylorn is in a really sorry state outside of here, despite being in the city now. Though that is

“You do?!” Mon’Ter looked at the old arch mage with eyes wider than an open door. “Wait, how? I thought you said that tracking him down wouldn’t be easy for you at all?”“Did I?” Randus said with a smug expression, obviously full of himself. “In any case, you needn’t worry about tracking him down. He’s headed to Banul city right now, even as we speak.”“Oh, so are we!” Mon’Ter caught on.“My, that simplifies things,” Leonidas grinned. “I’ll kill the fucker the moment I see him once we arrive there.”“Give me a rip and tear at him too,” Mon’Ter said as he raised his claw up to flex his fingers.“It’ll get to that, but firstly, we need to arrange everything,” Randus said as he walked on over to the room’s center. “Sereia, Elyenora, Samuel, reunion is over, we have work to do.”

“Wha–” Samuel was taken aback by Mon’Ter’s predatory comment. “Of course you can’t eat it!”“Aww…” Mon’Ter’s eyes drooped a little bit in disappointment. “It’s been so long since I hunted something and ate it, though. I miss deer meat.”“No means no! What are you even going to do? Eat the blade?” Samuel felt like facepalming.Elyenora chuckled at the whole conversation. “Hahaha!” she laughed a little, then commented on them. “In any case, that sure is interesting… You said it’s a baby deer? Maybe it's some sort of spirit?”“You think?” Samuel raised a brow. “So would that make this a sort of… spirit bound weapon?”“Ohh! That could be the case!” Elyenora exclaimed.“I don’t think I’ve ever heard of such a thing before… Perhaps durin

“Huh?” Mon’Ter felt a weird sensation envelop him, and he pulled away from the key necklace. His eyes returned to their previous colors, and he tilted his head in confusion. “What was that just now…?”“Mon’Teeeer!” Elyenora then shouted to him from across the room.Mon’Ter heard her and quickly turned away from the necklace to go and face her. He saw her waving to him as she made her way to him, all decked out in her golden armor from the neck down to the tips of her toes, and with a cape similar to feathery wings on her back. Of course, her crown like helmet stood tightly locked under one of her armpits, as she didn’t want to be uncomfortable with wearing it right now.“Ely! Welcome back! Wow, you look awesome!” he smiled her way full of glee.“Hahaha! Thank you, Mon’Ter!” She laughed as she arrived before him, standing in front of him and letting him get a b

  • Mon'Ter   Chapter 192: Time for departure

After Samuel performed his little stunt at the training arena location with the new sword he’d come to own. He and his party members gave one last look to all the artifacts before deciding on their new get up for the up and coming battles.Elyenora decided she would take an extra blade, just in case she happened to lose hold of the Silent Wind rapier, as well as one of the other two necklaces which Mon’Ter had looked at previously. As for Sereia, she only rummaged through the rings and ended up choosing two for herself. Anymore, and she said she’d feel uncomfortable wielding her blade at the same time. She also took an interesting pair of leather boots for herself, which she said would allow her to move faster in or around water.Samuel, on the other hand, did a full makeover. Not only did he get to enjoy a new sword for himself, but he switched out his armor, his shield, and even his helmet. He went for a perfectly round shield which covered h

  • Mon'Ter   Chapter 193: Worries of the Princess along the way to Banul city

The group of party members soon arrived atop a large, circular patch of burnt grass where the magic circle would have stood. They found themselves near the river side amidst a small forest. It was a place that nearly everyone present knew well enough, whether from rumor or from going here personally. This was the royal hunting grounds, where king Elduin would often go hunting with his men. It had been so for many generations of rulers, and the bountiful biosphere around here made for a perfect place of fun and excitement for those of royal blood to simply ‘hang out’, as they say.As for how they knew this was that exact place, it was quite obvious as that was the only nearby forest through which the Lise river passed through, and they were supposed to be near their destination upon the teleportation’s completion. As it stood now, they were perhaps only a short ways away from the capital city of Benulis, and would have to move upstream to reach Banul city.

Samuel could now see properly and move around, and Sereia had drunk a high grade healing potion that brought her back up to speed. “Agh… My back was killing me there…” Sereia said as she stretched, trying to get herself back into shape. “Do I even need to mention my head…?” Samuel held it, he still felt like it would start spinning again but thankfully it was over. “We really need to go and help Mon’Ter out,” Sereia mumbled out loud. “It seems like he got two of them but he’s facing that guy that my dad said was the best assassin in the world…” Still, they were a bit far away from the chimera and couldn’t assist him right away, especially since Mon’Ter’s fear came true. “It seems like we have our own troubles to deal with first…” Samuel pointed out as he gazed at the sky above them. “Huh? As Mon’Ter stood in a confrontation between himself and the three assassins, Sereia and Samuel did their best to catch their bearings and get to assisting him rather than being a burden for him. Thankfully, Samuel had some recovery potions on him, but due to his issue with coordination caused by Hendrick’s eye ability, he couldn’t move his arms in the right direction much less find where he’d stored the bottles. And as for Sereia, she actually did try to get to Samuel and find the potions for him, but, given how wounded her back really was she was having some difficulty pushing herself to stand back up and move towards his bag. Of course, this would only take her seconds to do in real time, maybe ten or twenty, but in the moments of combat those seconds would be more than enough for her and him to lose their lives at once many times over. They were dealing with assassins after all, and while these assassins were definitely slowed down from the g

Chapter 203: Mon'Ter back in action

Just as Elyenora was dealing with Alinesia with the help of Randus’ Gravity Zone spell, so were Sereia and Samuel working on using the spell to their advantage too. Seeing as they were able to outmaneuver their respective match ups and bring down two specters, they had now managed to get away from the other two old men who’d targeted them and made their way towards where Mon’Ter was being held down by Alinesia’s parents. That, of course, didn’t take long at all with the help of Samuel’s teleportation magic.Sereia quickly landed right over the female assassin with super long nails, Allison, while Samuel waltzed right into her husband, Hendrick, and swung straight at his arms that were holding Mon’Ter’s head up close to his eye level. On Sereia’s end, things were quickly and easily dispatched. Having had the jump on the opponent she was able to instantly get Allison to dodge her first blow and leave Mon’

He had basically created pseudo shades on his face which he used to escape from Lerroy’s immediate reach.During the course of the battle so far, the two of them had been flying high up in the air and blasting each other with all manner of magical spells, it had gotten to the point that most of the soldiers down below were getting nervous just by standing underneath them. However, Randus hadn’t just been mindlessly flying about and chucking explosions at his old master, no, of course not, he wouldn’t be where he is at today if he did something so basic. The whole time they were moving around the air space, Randus had been leaving small sigils in specific locations high above the ground and laying out a layer filled circle of magic large enough to encompass most of the existing su

Alinesia had completed her transformation, however, she wasn’t the only one making moves during that last minute of action. There were still many people on the battlefield, and the ones who made the biggest change aside from her, were definitely Randus, Samuel and Sereia who all made good use of the previous minute or so of time.On their side of the field, just as Elyenora and Alinesia were having their clash of wills, Samuel and Sereia both found themselves pushing against their respective spectral opponents. It had gotten to the point where they were chasing after these Low ranking Arch Lord Class entities as if they were hunting rabbits. It was at this time that both Gandar, the court mage of the Royal palace and the elderly master of the assassin’s guild intervened on their little chase. His bloodied eyes shone with a bright light and created shadow soldiers that tried to hold him back together, barely, even as his own blood and organs left his body to splatter down on the ground. “W–wh–y…?” Cazimir asked as only one of his eyes barely managed to move and look at Finn. “Because you interfered where it was not your place, stupid assassin,” Finn said, his eyes wider than an open door and staring the vampire down with intense pressure behind his every word. “Couldn’t you follow simple instructions? I told you. Don’t interfere with my fight. Leonidas is mine to do battle with.” “Bast–ard…” Cazimir barely mumbled out, and with another glow of his eyes he forced the soldiers to move him about ten meters away from the now enemy. Do you even know what my brother is trying to do!? It’s all foolish! Why would you work for him?
